Cold Nights Are Really Here In My Neck Of The Woods

It Is Under The Blanket Months

I am always under the blanket these past few weeks because of the change in season and I somewhat having a liking on it because at least now I have a way of perspiring which I needed because the weather now would not allow you to sweat even in the sunny afternoon because of the cool breeze of the wind.

The coolness just gets magnified when the sun goes down and the night goes deeper. I would like to indulge in hot drinks in these times of the year but that would only lead me to hypervolemia again and suffer breathlessness so I am keeping a check on my fluid consumption since I could not sweat some of my fluids out through perspiration so again I think that I do have something to make me sweat even with these cold days of the year.

December 25th is a kids day, it is the time of the year where their wallets gets fattened-up because of the money that they receive from their respective godparents. Children here today are lucky, they have multiple godparents to at least make them rake some cash gifts when Christmas times come. I would compare them to me where I only have 1 godparent and she is not married and then after sometime she goes in the US to permanently live there.

My Mother's Birthday Too This Month

This month in particular is quite a momentous month for most of the people living here in my country because of the celebration of Christmas. There are Christmas parties everywhere, at school, at work, family reunions, and even ta my dialysis center where they have a good time with games, raffles, and give-aways plus the food as well.

LOL anyway I am not a kid anymore and I just am recalling that as part of my frustration as a kid. But this month at the eve of Christmas day is my mother's birthday. She is important part of the family, the one that binds us siblings and I do not know if we with my siblings would ever be the same again without her so I just fear that if I would out live my mother it is a painful thing to ever happen because my mother now is an extension of my disabled body as well.

My mother would probably make some dishes for us to share with one another at her birthday but my siblings would bring their share of the food like in the past few years. Also with out own birthdays she never ceases to greet us and would also prepare a stir-fried noodles or something for us to eat in celebration. We had no chance to go out to eat as a family, no history of that because there is no budget.

So it just sucks but what could we do? We are just a poor family and my mother at times just struggles with her budgeting because I have learned that my father also sends help to my grandmother as my grandmother had told me that too when I was vacationing in their home in the late 90's.

So unlike others we are just different in celebrating birthdays but now that my siblings are able to afford some food to let us make our birthdays more memorable we now can make up for those years where at times my mother wouldn't cook a stir-fried noodles for the five of us to eat and celebrate with.

From my hometown, December 25 is a period people really look forward to as they plan to put on new shoes and dresses and eat special meals. Of all categories of people, I believe children are the luckiest when this season approaches

Yes @joshuaetim that is the setting here in my country but the celebration starts at around October when people are starting to put in Christmas lights on their houses and Christmas jingle songs are played on the radio.
