FORWARD: This post was initially written on March 5, 2014 but I am now uploading it to the Steem blockchain via @engrave on ChrisRice.blog. My main website is now ChrisRice.xyz.

This is one of my favorite birthdays and it is also one of my happiest. I can feel how much I am loved and cared for and I also have the support of my wife to do more than what I am capable of doing myself. This is our 4 year wedding anniversary and it is also my 29th birthday.

We have been through a lot of mental and emotional trials but through it all I have become a better person, and through it all I have grown to love Fema more and more. And through it all I have felt more loved and cared for than I ever have.

This is an official thank you to my wife, Emafe Rice (Fema) for standing by me.. for loving me.. for sacrificing and suffering through my own weaknesses and hardships. This is a letter of happiness for finding the person of a lifetime.. for falling in love and finding happiness.

I love you Fema. Don't stop believing in your dreams and remain happy with me and your loved ones. We are in this together!

UPDATE: September 7th, 2019

As I upload these old posts to the Steem Blockchain I become aware of the aspect of suffering in many of them. I wrote these things myself but I didn't take any of the suffering seriously at the time. I only saw it as a barrier that must be overcome in order to make my dreams come true.

It was only in 2018 that I took suffering seriously, and made it's elimination more important than all of my dreams, and the result was realizing that all of our suffering was due to ignorance and in large part our previous inability to understand our own selves, each other, our minds, life and reality . . in other words, immaturity.

I cannot say if it's possible to completely Eliminate suffering or ignorance but I do think that most of mankind's suffering, especially among Westerners is due to immaturity and seeing meaning & significance where there is none.

Happy for you and your wife and that things are getting better despite the struggles.

My wife is from Indonesia near the Philippines. We will be happily married two years in October.

I am very blessed.

Best wishes to you and your family!
