Today, I'm reviewing an IPA called Super DuPA from the brewery Jopen. Hops in this beer: Cascade, Ekaunot, Hüll and Melon hops. Malts: Barley, Oats, Wheat.

"This Super Dutch Pale Ale is brewed with the classic Dutch brewing grains: barley, oats and wheat. It packs a nice fruity aromatic hop punch."

History & Facts:

- Jopen Brewery is a Dutch brewery from Haarlem, that was founded in 1992.

- Jopen didn't have an own brewery until 2010, but they used facilities of other breweries.

- The name Jopen is derived from the 112 liter barrels in which the Haarlem beer used to be transported.

- They have used two recipes that was found in the Haarlem city archive. The first one was a recipe from 1407, the recreation of this was named Koyt, a gruit beer. The second one dates from year 1501 and was named Hoppenbier.

Appearance: slightly cloudy, golden color with a medium white head.

Smell: tropical fruits, a hint of malt.

Mouthfeel: medium body, medium carbonation.

Taste: tropical, hints of pine, malt, great balance, long bitter finish.

I like this beer! Fresh, fruity with a nice bitterness! Well-balanced IPA!

Verdict: My rating: 3.75 out of 5.
