Attitude of Gratitude

There's no denying 2020 has been a right doozy of a year.

Between the bush fires, covid, having a newborn and personal stuff it hasn't been the easiest year that's for sure.

Some days I feel postnatal depression creeping towards me and some days I feel fine.

About the only way I can take photos of Bella these days...

It feels like everything is happening right now. So many changes. So much sadness and anger. It's so easy to get caught up in any/all of it and if you're not careful you could end up spiralling and losing yourself.

This is a current trend I'm seeing at the moment and something I sometimes feel coming on.

Attitude of Gratitude

When things feel overwhelming my favourite thing to do is list at least 3 things to be grateful for.

Gratitude has a way of rewiring our thoughts and emotions from lack to abundance.

I often start off with a goal of three things and always end up with more things to be grateful for.

These days 90% of my gratitude revolves around Bella.

  • Grateful that she's happy.
  • Grateful that she's healthy.
  • Grateful that she's a great little eater.
  • Grateful that she pooped today.

.... strapped in and locked down...

  • Grateful to have a seat we can strap her in for feeding times.
  • Grateful we have food to eat.
  • Grateful to have a roof over our heads.
  • Grateful to be warm in winter.
  • Grateful to have all of these things to be grateful for when so many others don't.

... otherwise this happens...

Being grateful doesn't mean your life is perfect. It just means you are willing to shift focus on things you have rather than things you don't have and sometimes that could make all the difference.

Attitude of gratitude is probably better than my attitude of screw you all I'm going to draw XD

Love the Bella pics, the scrunchy face smiles are the absolute bestest, too much cuteness in one tiny package xD

Lol I get my screw you all I'm going to draw/art moments that are equally therapeutic 😜

The scrunchy smiles always makes me scrunchy smile too. Its infectious, of the non pandemic type.

This is spot on. There are lots of things to be grateful for, we just have to look at them the right way. There's way too much negativity around, and the attitude of gratefulness will no doubt keep us in the right mindset.

PS - Bella is so adorable. Those eyes!!! 😍

Yup, the negativity is suffocating these days. Just as I'm sure everyone has their own bag of problems, I'm sure everyone has at least one thing to be grateful for however insignificant or small. Just gotta hold on to that at times.

❤❤❤ Thanks lovey xxx
