Due to lack of sleep, you may be less sensitive to serotonin, which regulates appetite, mood and body temperature.
It may be difficult to see the value in an extra day, especially if you have a huge sleep deficit or high levels of stress. But doctors and psychologists agree that a short time devoted to relaxation can be of great benefit to establishing better sleep and mental health hygiene.
