Inflation - it's here (no matter what people might say)

It's hard to deny that things are getting more expensive. Grab a meal in a restaurant (if you can get a table!) or head to your local supermarket and you will see that prices have rocketed.

A friend was recently lamenting how they had to pay £20 for a tiny portion of lasagne in a cafe - it was the cheapest thing on the menu!

Here in the UK we could blame Brexit in addition to Covid and the Suez Canal supply chain block etc.

Whatever, it's here - inflation that is. Higher prices that are unlikely to revert back, even after the above situations sort themselves out.

So don't listen to the government figures that claim that inflation is low. Just look around. You can see it for yourself.

So what can we do about it?

We can rant and moan, or we can be proactive in strategising our own way through it. This isn't going away anytime soon.
