Robinhood Customer commits Suicide

User who traded on Robinhood got into neg debt of -700 000USD+ and commit suicide. Parents left a note “How was a 20 year old with no income able to get assigned almost a million dollars worth of leverage?”.

Yes while on Bitcoin despite loads of scams and bad acting from platforms you mostly can loose only what you have, on some pro accounts on Forex you can get a debt.

Robinhood did reply and wants to change their Options setup.

Also good to remember - its just money. I remember how @transisto flagged some guys from indonesia and they said they will kill him for that.

Sad the guy took his life, im sure if he run this trough support (or media) that would been fixed.

Money is just a paper.. or even less these days - just numbers on some computer. Dont do stupid things over that.

Oh my god. I read that dollar amount wrong. Almost a million dollars. Jesus. Yeah the system should have been setup to prevent that kind of thing. People can’t always be trusted to work smartly.
