My dCity update #2

So today I had to tinker with the city some. Mostly I wanted to build up the SIM income and was not going to worry about the population.

I went on a buying spree for apartments and houses to fill up those empty income producing slots. Along the way I also purchased workers and immigrants. Although I’m not sure getting too many immigrants was a good idea but we’ll see.

I had also noticed that purchasing the Military Industrial Complex would give me an instant 100 SIM kick back from the war tax. So I had to buy it.

I also needed to start boosting education and reducing criminal activity. The first I accomplished by buying a research center and some schools. The latter I accomplished by being impatient waiting on police tech and just going ahead and buying it.

I also bought some cards without going to through the market and ended up with a stadium and: random zoos, shopping centers, cinemas, brewery, and garbage dumps.

All in all I was quite pleased when the payments fired and I got the bonus 91 SIM for the MIC and the general goodies.

In the process I had noticed even without focusing on population it had gone ahead and taken care of itself. I had ended up with a population value of 1053 which put me in the top 400 at around 346. So, if I can keep my hands off the city, I want to let it ride for the weekend. Just to see how it all turns out.

Please be advised I’m not an investment advisor, so do your own research. Thanks for reading!

It's always fun to tinker around in your city 😀 I do that all the time. As I said, my initial goal was ranking but that has now changed to SIM income. I bought too many art galleries to boost my popularity but looking back I should have focused on SIM producing cards. Way to go.

Thanks for replying! It will also be interesting to see how the taxes might end up after the election. I also might start another account to "build" a model city since just buying the cards from dCity is a little too random sometimes.

Agree. I normally don't buy random cards. That way you can plan ahead. However, you can make huge amount of hive with right cards from dCity if you are lucky. I have not been that lucky though :)
