Business Execs Seem Optimistic About Next Year

A decent amount of businesses out there today are expecting next year to be a lot better than 2020 and business execs are generally upbeat about the potential for what 2021 might bring. A recent survey discovered that roughly 40 percent of businesses are looking forward to a better market in 2021, within the coming few months they plan to invest more and hire more people for those businesses.

The survey found that they expect the economy to grow next year, with a 1.9 percent annual rate next year. A number of companies from Amazon, Ford and GM, to CVS, and others, are looking to aggressively continue hiring in the next 6 months.

With the potential for cannabis to become decriminalized on a federal level and more markets to be established around the country that too could bring with it thousands of jobs.

The recent survey that investigated CEO attitudes on the potential for next year saw that this was the first time the results were positive after 9 quarters of decline.

Stress from all of the events of 2021 still impacts millions, and COVID-19 along with the various shutdowns has caused tremendous isolation, anxiety, anger, depression, and loneliness for many. A record number of people are stressed out right now, eager to visit friends and family, go on a vacation, get back to visiting businesses as usual, and are looking forward to 2021 just being any better than this year.
