A second update for today

Some great progress!

It was about four and a half hours ago when I posted this on my Primary site A progress report, and a Major Accomplishment I learned a lot. I was unsure about the drop down "Accordion" style of container, but I think it is and will continue to work out.

Thanks to the Steemit Widgets ease of use, I have my two feeds live on one page to switch between. The only thing I have not been able to accomplish with it so far is to find the location to add " target_blank" and get the tag specific feed to open in a new window. I'll keep hunting and learning. The Author field, the image, and the title when clicked will open in a new tab/window. That is what I was hoping I would be able to do.

Having the links open in a new window was important for me. When I'm done reading or looking or commenting on the post, all I have to do is click the close button, and I am back at my feed. With the advent of Steem Key Chain, I can easily switch between sign in's to which ever account I need to vote and or comment with.

This is what my page looks like now. You can see the Accordion tabs in the center column. I think I need to build a close tab button when I want to change to another feed. Right now the TOP button comes in handy taking me back to the top, but it does not close the tab, so you have to click on the tab to close it. I could add that in to the top button I suppose but there may be times I want to get back to the top and still have the feed open. It is nice that I can have both the current feeds open, even though there is duplication in both sets of follows, that is getting to be less and less as I separate out the accounts.

Here is what the drop down view looks like:

I as I mentioned on my other post am currently set at getting 8 items from my feeds. I feel that for now that should be enough.

I still need to try and get to fixing my top menu bar, I don't like how far away from the right margin the wallet tabs sit. I did figure out my Virtual coin collection. I have a small image in the right hand column, that when it is clicked on it opens in a modal window for viewing. I haven't played much with the settings of the modal, but there are a few things that can be changed. Here is what my coin collection looks like in the modal window:

Just like google image search, just click the X and it closes. I think my coin collection will grow twelve at a time, and then a new image added to the right hand column. I am liking some of the small "Fixes", like the vertical lines, yeah they are a pain in the ass, but I think they look pretty good. I wish there was a way to make them grow as the page scrolled, and that may be possible, I jsut have not found it yet. I was not happy with them over laying my menu bar but I got that fixed.

Another thing I like is the detail of the drop down accordion labels. I have my Icon/Avatar's on the label, I think that adds a nice touch, like book ends. I can add any Steemian's feed I want and that is no problem. What I really need to work on next are my Tribal Feeds. Like my two accounts they all follow different people.

Like most people I have a lot of likes and things I enjoy doing or reading, I know that not all my friends are into some things I am, and that is fine, it is what makes us individuals. I am not sure how I am going to go about getting my Tribal Feeds, and hope I don't have to pester a busy Dev. with that question, I'll see if I can figure it out on my own, or find a great help page like the Widgets Generator. That was a super big help.

I still can not get over the fact I have a live feed, thanks again @mkt. (He made the widgets page).

The number of tribes are growing, and this is my way of trying to help myself stay somewhat organized. It is not a lot of work to add links and things once I get everything done, but it does take some careful looking and checking, I am thinking of an input form to do a semi automated bookmarks page. Still thinking about that one though. it means having to learn something else. Right now I will just keep it simple.
