ボホール島 ターシャ園
先月のボホール島旅行の投稿に続いて、ボホール島のメジャーな観光施設の一つである「ターシャ園」に行ってきましたのでご紹介したいと思います。
ターシャとは、世界最小のメガネザルでボホール島に生息しているボホールのマスコット的動物です。
体調は大きくてもげんこつ大で赤ちゃんでは親指ほどの大きさしかなくとてもミニサイズです。
ボホールでターシャを観に行けるスポットは2か所になります。
・Tarsier Conservation Area
・Philippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuary
今回の旅ではPhilippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuaryに行ってきました。

Tarsier Conservation Areaはよくツアーで利用されるターシャ園らしく、より観光客向けなのかもしれませんがよくわからないのでなんとなくサンクチュアリにしてみました。
アロナビーチそばの宿をチェックアウトして、近くのトライシクルと交渉してターシャ園→フェリー港のルートを900ペソで行ってもらいました。高く感じましたが運転手が譲らずこれで決定しました。
目当てのターシャ園につくまでアロナビーチから1時間以上トライシクルを走り、座っているだけですがかなり体力を使いました(笑)
山道に入るためか近づくにつれて未舗装の道も増えてかなりガタガタしながら行くのでジェットコースター気分です。
また、途中スコール的な雨に降られてけっこう濡れてしまいました。
アロナビーチからだと可能であればタクシーなどの交通手段を使ったほうが無難ですね。
なんとかPhilippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuaryに到着し、入場料60ペソを払って注意事項を聞き、案内員と一緒に自然豊かな園を歩いていきます。
入口には鶏がそこらへんを歩いていました。
のどかですね～
ターシャは繊細な動物らしく、大きな音は厳禁です。繊細過ぎてストレスで自殺しちゃうとか。
案内係がターシャのいるところに連れて行ってくれるので迷わないですが、ターシャが小さすぎてどこにいるかよくわかりません(笑)
なかなかお顔を拝見することができず。。。
夜行性のターシャですが、ごそごそと枝を移動するシーンに遭遇することができました。
動いている姿を観れるのは結構珍しいらしいです。
顔が見えるかなと思ったら
そっぽ向いてしまう！
ついに姿をとらえやすい位置を取ることができました。
指がなかなか気持ち悪いなぁと思いました(笑)
そしてついに正面でご尊顔を拝むことができました。
宇宙人みたいな目をしていますね
てな感じで30分もない滞在時間だったと思いますがそれなりに楽しめました。
