And if anyone didn't notice but I did, I'm missing something, I'm telling you.Good followers of reggae, and Ska. Reviewing my post of the Ska, I realized that I made a mistake, but everything has a solution, was that I omitted, the 3rd entry of the Ska, but here I have them.

Second Wave or La Epoca 2- tone- 1970's

There's a new ska resurgence in 1977. But this time it was some young Englishmen who wanted to experiment with the rhythm of the ska they were already listening to, they added a little more speed to the previous sound. And this is where what is known as the second wave of ska or 2-tone emerges.

2-tone were so called because of the mixture or fusion of the different races of both the public and the bands. The bands, led by The Specials, then Madness, Bad Manners, The Beat and The Selecter, among others.

Also the way of dressing of that time were the black and white suits (2 tones). Many of the songs were new versions of classic Ska songs, these were faster than the originals, if the songs were more lyrical than instrumental.

The first song in this wave was Gangsters of the Specials, the creators and leaders of the movement.

But it lasted a few years, at the beginning of the 80's there were no more 2-tone bands, and many of them have met little since the middle of the late 80's. In the U.S. some 2-tone groups started to emerge, but they didn't get the same popularity as English bands. During none of these first two waves of ska, music achieved a great boom in the United States.

To culminate this third part and as I have been doing with a video about this musical genre the Ska, this time with The Specials.
