Wizkid x Kel-P – “Mine” - Review.
This song has really been busting my brain since it was played on the radio yesterday, I have to go online and google it up, then set to download it.
This song comes from a sample of reggae and its always with the starboy Wizkid, the rate at which this record producer do much of dancehall and reggae this time is worth making mention of.
With many Nigerian artiste having one or two reggae song in there album while only few would dare sing a reggae filled album, even those who do don't get to have large audience like there Afro Hip Hop counterpart.
The more closer one to popularity of reggae song is the dancehall, dancehall has saved reggae from going into extinction in Nigeria. I've noticed over time that artiste who do much of dancehall can conveniently hold the reggae microphone and rock it or jahm it.
That been said, this is just one of those songs with a sample in reggae and Wizkid genre afrobeat, this song delivers one of the best from Wizkid, and his collaboration Kelly P on this track called Mine is one of the dopest song I'll hear in this new month.
