About Moi.

Right from my early years, I've always had to take some time off to put something on paper and ink.

It could be about my future ambition, a gospel tract based on a truth I just found out from scriptures, the happenings at home and in my life or just a random story around a topic I had made up or looked up from the West African Examination Council (W.A.E.C) past English Language question papers.

Then I went on an audience hunt, looking for someone that would read what I had written and give me feedback, most of the time, those I gave it to didn't have the time to read up all I had written, so I would get comments like "You have such a beautiful handwriting" and I'm like "I know that already but that's not the feedback I need, I need a feedback about the story or my style of writing not my handwriting" Though I don't say this out loud in order not to earn a disapproving stare or a reputation for being rude to elders.

As I grew older, the pursuit of other interests drowned out my pursuit of writing for an audience or even properly developing the skill. Although I kept on writing for personal use because it gives me clarity, helps me de-stress, makes me more organized and assists me to make more informed decisions.

When I eventually decided to get back into the game a while ago, I found so many excellent writers creating amazing content in various fields, wow, I was so intimidated that I ran back into my shell.

After pondering and pondering, I came to realize that everyone's writing is as unique as the writer, and we are so unique, no two persons share desame finger prints.

So I decided to enter the writing world again because no matter how many amazing writers there are, and honestly there are alot, No one can write what I will write how I will write it.

Long story cut short; My writing is as unique as I am.

I am so glad to be here, I'm glad for the opportunity to write not just for myself, I hope to improve my writing along the way while learning from the amazing writers and content creators on the platform.

Thanks to The Steemit Community for providing this platform and this amazing community to learn from.

I'm Florence, Nice to meet you all.

Well said, and I agree all writers have a unique style. While we can all improve with each other's help, I can never produce what you would. Following, and I can't wait to read your works.

Hello @florence-bassey
Namaste from India. I am Nirmal, and I heartily welcome you to the Steemit Community.

You nailed it in this line:

I came to realize that everyone's writing is as unique as the writer, and we are so unique, no two persons share the same finger prints.

Absolutely, Florence. We all have a unique style of expressing ourselves.

I liked your way of expression. And I am interested to know more about your country, from your writings. So, followed you.

If you need any help around, you can join Steem.chat, and ask for help in the #help chat there. But make sure you have already read the FAQ from here: https://steemit.com/faq.html (It's impossible to grasp everything in a day. You'll gradually learn.)

Already upvoted this post. All the best for your future ventures.

PS: You look nice. :D

Wow, @nirmal, Namaste! I remember this so well from my Hindu movies way back. How is the Great India? Thanks for your warm and loving welcome. I'm encouraged. Also thanks so much for the tips, I'll certainly check them out.

Since you mentioned it, I'll put it in mind to write a few piece about my country then.

Thank you....

Well, as you asked about India, the ongoing coronavirus situation is affecting our daily lives a bit.

Some of us have to work from home.
Some of us have to take online classes.
Some of us have to remain quarantined.
Movies, malls, meetings, sport events etc are getting affected. But tourism is worst hit.

Fingers crossed. :)

Our docs are trying their best to combat the virus. 🙂

I really do hope the health control organizations get ahead of the virus soon. I really do hope so and I'm praying on it.

Welcome to the Steemit community @florence-bassey!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Eight suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, keychain and steemconnect,
  3. The master password is only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and
be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own
    .
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. When you open your steemit.com, in the upper right corner of the page there are 3 bars. Click on those, and then on the "welcome", and you will get a lot of reading material that will help you.
  8. Do NOT open any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I found you because @xcountytravelers and @brittandjosie from @heyhaveyamet presented and promoted your publication to get more exposure and help you grow faster.

If you find yourself overwhelmed and need some guidance, or if you have any questions, there are informed Steemians available who can help you; you can click to go to the Steem Terminal in Discord here:
