INTRODUCING MYSELF
Hello Steemit.
It's so nice to be here finally on the most talked about blogging site by my friends. My name is Adeniyi but my nickname is "Firefly". I've heard quite alot about this platform but I haven't had the wits to come here and begin to blog. Reason why is that, Personally, I'm super new to blogging so I didn't know what to blog about until last week. I have been using the past 2 days since I joined this platform to read on some important guidelines on plagiarism, tags,post, interaction and rewards. After reading, I came to the conclusion that Steemit is possibly the best thing I never knew of.
Few things that would be nice to know about me are that firstly,I'm a pencil artist. I draw with a graphite and charcoal pencil and my signature is "Firefly".
Wondering why I am called "Firefly"? Well, I'm fascinated and awed the Firefly insects. The fact that they have a glow from within is so mesmerizing and I used to wish I was one when I was little. But later on, I understood that we all have our personal glow within us, we just have to ignite it and let it shine through our work, friendship, relationship,gifts and talents.
I'll be taking pictures with my art to show it was I who drew them and to make it more fun, I'll be making videos of the progress and steps of my drawings on @threespeak platform.
This is a sample of recent drawing of the great Mahatma Gandhi.
After alot of pondering on what to blog about when, I decided to start writing on my art, drawings and portraits. I got a 100 pages sketch pad and named it "Firefly faces". So whoever I draw in this sketch pad, I'm gonna be writing a little on that person to enlighten the steemit commuinity about the person. These people could be celebrities, history icons, my friends and possibly some members of this platform. Also,I'm going to show the steps taken in making the drawings to make other artist learn and correct me on one or two things and also share our artistic thoughts.
