Bad actors from OCD versus IntinteDAO

Steem was supposed to be a censorship-resistant social network. It didn't quite work out, unfortunately - but it has other features that are very interesting. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to face people who don't like us completely and harm our ideas - we call it "bad actors".

Steem is a network of connections between people. That's how social networks work. If you are German, you talk to Germans. If you are a player, you talk to other players. If you are a whale, you only work with whales. This is an obvious observation in general.

As some people know, we were given flags in the previous post. In general, there is no tragedy or crying, but there is some pain. We were accused of buying Bidbots, commenting:

Buying votes hurts you, other authors and the Steem Ecosystem in general

To be clear, we don't buy Bidbots (although we think they're good, I'll write about it below). There are organizations that support us, such as Tipu, among others. They do it because they believe that technology development is very important. It's not a big sum, but we treat it as a gesture of goodwill.

Why were the bidbots created?

The answer is simple - the Steem advertising system is not working well. If you want people to be able to see your entries, you either need to have the whale permission (who won't support you because they make money from their popularity) or use a bidbot.

Of course, someone will say the Bidbots are bad because they steal the pots. But whales also do this, for example through self-upvote, which means they give themselves money that belongs to everyone.

So what is the problem? I do not know. In my opinion, it's by force to find an enemy, perhaps to distract people from the real problems of the platform. Maybe it's just an internal problem between OCD and bidbots.

What do we do now?

IntinteDAO was initially strongly linked to Steem, although we are now trying to "decentralize". For several days now we have been testing alternative blockchain to Steem, e.g. Ethereum (where we also see potential and calm development) or RootStock (it looks interesting).

For now we are not abandoning Steem (unless it is necessary), and we distance ourselves a little until whales reach a consensus on the safe and stable development of the platform.
