It is funny how some people trample over others and the saddest part of it is to watch people trample over you and treat you like garbage. The reason most people are so comfortable in such an estate is because they have grown to accept what others say about them. People say you are useless and you accept it, others call you a nobody and you accept it, others say you can achieve nothing on your own, you are worthless etc. You let people dictate what you are and run your life on this basis. This is not how it should be and it does not have to be this way.

The same people who treat you like garbage do so because they feel they are special and successful. Yes, they are special and successful because they identified a gift in them and invested in it. What about you? What is your gift? If you can not identify your gift or talent that sets you apart or makes you special, then people will regard you as worthless, useless and all the negative adjectives you can think of will be used to describe you.

We think God is unfair at some point because you see others so successful and doing so well while you on the other hand have been struggling all your life. God is not unfair and he has never been. He made every individual unique and special including you but you are blind to what makes you special and how can others see it if you can not see it either? You need to accept the fact that there is something special about you. You are unique and there is something only you and you alone can do so well. That is the mindset we need to have and once you have such a mindset, identifying your gift and talents will come so easy.

Once you identify this area or aspect you thrive in, the next thing you must do is invest money and time into it to build it up. You see, having the gift or talent is just not enough. The World is a competitive place and you need to be at the very best of your craft to be noticed. Work on your gifts and talents, build them up and gain mastery of your craft. That will pave your way to becoming truly successful and accomplished in life. God has embedded you and I with the necessary gifts and talents we need and all we need to do is work on developing them.

For example, I think I am gifted in singing but for so long I failed to invest my money in this gift and to be honest I am not satisfied at the level I find myself today. I feel I would have been much better today if I invested my money as well as the time into this gift. At first, I must admit I was skeptical to invest my money into something that might not yield any returns. But at one point, you need to ask yourself a simple question: how will others believe in you when you don't even believe in yourself or your abilities?

After this, I thought to myself if I don't invest in my gift, how do I expect others to? So right now, I am fully investing in my gifts and once I gain that complete mastery of it, I believe that will be the turning point of it all. So you see, it takes the gift/talent and investing in it. Don't be too skeptical or scared to take a risk on developing your own self and abilities. If you want to be treated as special, then you must show people the thing that makes you special and that is when you gain the respect and admiration of people around you.
