Box tree moth in my garden

Since 2017, the colonization of the boxwood moth has started in the center of Belgium. Now, in 2019, it can also be found in West Flanders, Belgium. He is busy eating all the box hedges bare.

It are the larvae that cause the damage. The moth has also arrived in my garden and this is the result ...

That sure is a pretty moth but I am so sorry to see what the larvae did to your garden. Unbelievable how destructive they are. I know this is one moth that you do not like to see. Thanks for using #insectpub and #butterflyday tags @nilom. : )

The first time I saw him in my garden I also thought it was a very beautiful butterfly, I still do but.... :-(

Because of the damage, I like animals but I like my garden too! :-)

Of course! I should have thought of that before asking such a dumb question. LOL! I would have been very upset if that happened to my garden.
