Butterfly Day and Insect Day Giveaway- Week 24 by @whatisnew

A few insects that I noticed when I was in the garden this week. I'm not even going to attempt to guess what they might be, but if you know be sure and tell me!

This tiny little guy looked good in red!

And this one appeared to be working hard for his lunch.

This black wasp was not happy about me getting close, so I got a couple of shots and then got the heck out of there!

Your camera is perfect this kind shot. I like the shallow depth of field. Great photos.

Thanks! I am almost afraid to change any settings on the camera for fear I won't remember how to get back to take this sort of shot!

Especially the last two pictures are really beautiful .. I personally prefer flowers over insects, and those flowers look amazing, but you leave me sitting here watching those pictures over and over again not knowing what is more beautiful ^^

I am not sure about the first one but the red background is perfect to show it off. The second one is a Pennsylvania Leatherwing Beetle and you want these in your garden. They love to eat aphids plus they are great pollinators. I run from wasps too. Better to be safe than sorry. Amazing photos as always. Thanks for using #insectpub tag Melinda! : )

I've never seen a wasp quite like that one. I like the dots on his wings. They can be pretty nasty, though!

I had some sort of small black wasp hovering in front of me today. Don't remember ever seeing them before, but he did not want to leave me alone.
