Butterfly Day and Insect Day Giveaway
Butterfly Day and Insect Day Giveaway- Week 24 by @whatisnew
A few insects that I noticed when I was in the garden this week. I'm not even going to attempt to guess what they might be, but if you know be sure and tell me!
This tiny little guy looked good in red!
And this one appeared to be working hard for his lunch.
This black wasp was not happy about me getting close, so I got a couple of shots and then got the heck out of there!

Thank you! I have been laughing all day over your fight club comment! That was a dumb question for me to ask and your response was perfect!
Your camera is perfect this kind shot. I like the shallow depth of field. Great photos.
Thanks! I am almost afraid to change any settings on the camera for fear I won't remember how to get back to take this sort of shot!
Well, welcome to the club then. I took my photos more in automatic mode.
Thank goodness for automatic! The camera is smarter than I am!
Especially the last two pictures are really beautiful .. I personally prefer flowers over insects, and those flowers look amazing, but you leave me sitting here watching those pictures over and over again not knowing what is more beautiful ^^
Such a nice thing to say! I have been taking lots of flower photos as I know how much I miss them during the cold winter days!
Awesome.... I entered the contest too.
🤗
Beautiful fantastic photos!!!
@melinda010100
I've been seeing insects in my garden this year I have never seen before in my life...🤔.
Thanks! Things are changing, aren't they?
Yes indeed they are @melinda010100
what cool shots and such a cool collection of this little critters
Thanks, I had fun taking bug pictures!
and having fun is whats most important ;)
I am not sure about the first one but the red background is perfect to show it off. The second one is a Pennsylvania Leatherwing Beetle and you want these in your garden. They love to eat aphids plus they are great pollinators. I run from wasps too. Better to be safe than sorry. Amazing photos as always. Thanks for using #insectpub tag Melinda! : )
Thanks and thanks for all the info, too! So many different insects in our world!
I've never seen a wasp quite like that one. I like the dots on his wings. They can be pretty nasty, though!
I had some sort of small black wasp hovering in front of me today. Don't remember ever seeing them before, but he did not want to leave me alone.
This is the season for wasps and hornets! I'm glad you didn't get stung!
Howdy Melinda! those are such good shots! I love the sharpness of the insect images and those flowers are so colorful!
Thanks, luv!
