El inktober nos propone el día numero 8 el tema "frágil" . Lo primero que me viene a la mente cuando pienso en la fragilidad son los sentimientos y como distintas circunstancias de la vida nos pueden afectar en mayor o menor medida nuestro estado de animo, es de hecho dicha capacidad de sentir intensamente emociones lo que nos hace humanos.
Muchas veces el corazón es tan frágil como el cristal y cuando algo nos afecta nos puede doler tanto como si toda nuestra alma se hiciera pedazos. Ese sentimiento tan fuerte es lo que me inspiro a realizar esta obra artística.

The inktober theme for the day number eight is FRAIL. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of frail is a feeling and how different circumstances of life can affect our mood to a greater or lesser extent and actually is in fact this ability to feel emotions that makes us humans.
Many times the heart is as frail as glass and when something affects us it can hurt as much as if our whole soul were broken in pieces. That strong feeling is what inspired me to make this artistic work.

Process / Proceso

Lo primero que hice fue tomar medidas del rostro y delimitar las áreas de luz y sombra haciendo un bosquejo de la imagen de la persona como siempre recomiendo hacer esto con un lápiz. En este caso lo hice directamente con un lapicero pero no es lo ideal ya que luego se complica todo si quieres corregir algo. Recomiendo usar de hecho un lápiz de "HB" puesto que este es uno de los que tiene un trazo mas suave y fácil de borrar, recuerda que esto es solo para darte una idea general.

The first thing I did was to take measures of the face and delimit the areas of light and shadow by sketching the image of the subject as always I recommend doing this with a pencil. In this case I did it directly with a pen but it is not the ideal since everything gets a little bit complicated if you want to correct something. Actually I recommend using an pencil "HB" since this is the one that makes softer lines in the market so its easier to erase the strokes if you make mistakes, remember that this is just to give you a general idea.

Luego delineando con el lapicero poco a poco aplique sombras, y de manera sutil puse algunos detalles del pelo y de los ojos hasta llegar al tono deseado.

After that gradually apply little by little the shadows, and in a subtle way put some details of the hair and eyes until reaching the desired tone.

Finalmente para darle un toque dramático puse de fondo un vidrio roto, como metáfora de cuando nos sentimos quebrados o con el corazón roto.

Finally to give a more dramatic touch I put a broken glass as a background to show as a metaphore of how does it feel to have a heart break and our souls crushed.
