Four More Years?

avatar

It's out of the bag now: the international community is preparing for four more years of Trump in the White House. The rest of the world is not blind, and we can all see what's happening in the current election cycle; Democrats won't rally behind their eventual nominee.

At least that's how it looks like from the outside when you're only following the corporate media. Okay, they've finally come around to see the reality that Bernie Sanders will be the one with the most pledged delegates. That means that he wins the nomination, IF the voters' choice is respected; we've all witnessed last night that 5 of the 6 Democratic candidates actually don't believe in democracy at all, and hang on until the convention to see if the party elite hands them the nomination. I want you, dear reader, to understand what that means. It means that your vote doesn't count, that instead of respecting your collective choice they'll let a couple of party elites decide behind closed doors who the nominee will be.

Mo matter what your political affiliation may be, if that doesn't infuriate you, you're not a serious person or don't understand anything about human history or politics for that matter. This is the Democratic party saying: have fun with the elections, but if you choose someone WE don't like, we'll just have to protect you from your own ignorant and dangerous behavior. This is the very definition of the authoritarianism they complain about when they criticize Trump. Like I wrote yesterday: they should all shut up immediately. Last night's debate attracted a record number of almost 20 million viewers, and they all saw Bloomberg implode on stage; that must have been a surprise for all who were bombarded with his hundreds of millions of dollars worth of ads on television and online. But it wasn't surprising at all for all of us who know why he's in this race in the first place; he's not there to win, he's there to prevent Sanders from getting a majority of over 50 percent of the pledged delegates. That's also the only reason why Warren, Buttigieg and Klobuchar stubbornly stay in the race when it's clear as daylight that they'll never win a plurality of the votes. They're all in a race they can't win with the sole object being to stop a Sanders presidency. This is the epitome of class war and an infuriating insult to all the millions of voters who participate in the political process, or have the EXPECTATION of participating in the political process.

Chris Matthews Tongue-Tied After Bernie's Debate Performance

After the Nevada debate, Sanders has built up a two digit lead over all the other candidates in that state; 32% Sanders, 17% Warren, 15% Buttigieg and only 14% for Biden. If this trend goes on, Sanders will win South Carolina as well, after which he'll have won the first four states; this could set him up to run away with the whole thing, so I'm still hopeful that he gets more than 50 percent of the votes and delegates, which would prevent any behind-the-doors-power-grab. Like I said in the beginning: the world is watching this and holding it's breath. Here's a quote from the article "International community preparing for 'prospect of four more years' of Trump":

"The circular firing squad in Las Vegas probably raised expectations abroad that the Democrats won’t unite behind a candidate with wide popular appeal who can beat Trump," he wrote. "People throughout Eastern Europe and Asia who have struggled to escape from socialism must find Sen. Bernie Sanders’s enthusiasm for it — and the fact that the Vermont Independent is leading the field — especially bizarre."
source: The Hill

That's a quote from Washington Post columnist David Ignatius commenting on his column about the Nevada debate yesterday on MSNBC, playing the tired old "socialism" card again. Bernie's program is nothing like socialism, any thinking person knows that; his proposed policies are nothing more than a return to the Democratic party's broken promise of fighting for the working- and middle class, a restoration of all that was built up by FDR only to be broken down again by decades of the neoliberalism that's embraced by both sides of the political spectrum. All the Democratic candidates except for Sanders are in the race to ensure four more years of Trump. Especially Warren and Buttigieg who both claimed on camera that in a real democracy the one with the most votes must be declared the winner have forever lost any shred of respect they may have had. Bloomberg will never win because he's an exact copy of Trump. Klobuchar... well... she's just Klobuchar. All of them will be humiliated in a race against Trump; the only one on stage last night who has more than a good chance to win against Trump is Bernie. And they know it, which is why I confidently say that they're all in the race to grant Trump another four years. They know their lofty positions aren't threatened by Trump, they know they'll be able to take the millions of dollars in bribes from big business which has made it so that politics is always working for them, and never for you, the voters, the working people, the middle class, the students, the veterans, the sick, the old. It's time to say "No More!" No more years of Trump. No more years of ignoring we, the people. No more deals behind closed doors. No more corruption and no more money in politics. If there was ever a time to clearly say No More, it's now

Wow, what a shit show.
Have you seen the latest from the CIA rag WaPo that Bernie has been 'briefed by intelligence / security officials that Russia is actively trying to 'help his presidential campaign'? Wtf... I mean Russiagate was a lie and they're still going back to the well with this one.
This is another smear to delegitimize Sanders' massive support from working class people across the United States.
Great point that Bloomberg is not there to win, just to prevent Sanders from winning.
They're (the DNC) stacking the deck against him once again.
The prospect of universal healthcare for the people and a social democrat as the front runner and potential winner of the presidency is, apparently, truly a horrifying reality for the establishment.
It's just going to get uglier from here on out and the smears and attacks will continue unabated.

I've missed quite a few months of the news cycle and I thought I was out of the loop. Nah, Looks like nothing has changed, so I'm all good! It all comes back to Russia Russia Russia hahahaha. Be prepared for another 4 years of Trump, because that's what the establishment really wants, regardless of all the outrage news hype.

Isn't WAPO the newspapaer that has the slogan "democracy dies in darkness" splashed across its front page? LOL. It's so ridiculous, that it gets to the stage of being comical.

Thanks so much for adding this my friend; I've heard it mention several times, but haven't really looked into this particular smear yet. And I'm so glad you understand that Sanders is indeed a "social democrat" even if he labels himself a "democratic socialist" :-)
