I have argued against antifa for years.
I knew this was coming. This is not how to win the hearts and minds of anyone. It has essentially just become a civil war.

The enemy of my enemy is not my friend by default. The economics and politics of AntiFa are pretty screwy. When "AntiFa" use terrorism as a tactic, they are not my ally. That said, if AntiFa is terrorist, the police are many orders of magnitude more so. Remember the train of abuses that kickstarted this protest/riot/revolution mess.

Be careful conflating governments and the societies upon which they feed. Despite the mythology of democracy, those of us who live in the USA do not control the government and are not represented.
One issue with this logic is that the police don't represent a completely, by default, unsustainable societal solution. While the police can suck a fuck as far as I care at this point, at least they wont bring on civil war with the ultimate goal of making America more like North Korea.
