When a politician steals enough to be noticed by the FBI, it usually doesn't go well for them! She left in handcuffs to await her sentencing, hoping for a judge with a compassionate heart....
The FBI dropped both the hammer and the anvil on Tennessee State Democrat Senator Katrina Robinson. Her champagne wishes and caviar dreams came to an abrupt end Wednesday as she was dragged away in handcuffs, charged with theft and embezzlement. Depending on what mood the judge is in when she finally gets to sentencing, Robinson could get up to 20 years.
She was mad, and made them drag her away, which would have really positively influenced the Judge who is about to sentence her, SMH!
According to the indictment filed in federal court, Katrina Robinson, a 39-year-old state level Senator of the Democrat persuasion, skimmed around $600,000 from The Healthcare Institute, a company which listed her as a director on paper. She’s looking at a sentence of up to 20 years and a $250,000 fine.
The “institute” raked in a cool $2.2 million taxpayer dollars in federal grants. Most of that financed Robinson’s lavish lifestyle. Her family made out like bandits too, because “Robinson used a large portion of the money for personal purchases for herself and her family in violation of the term of the grant.” The Senator paid more than $2k for supplies so her kids could run a snow-cone stand.
She is teaching her children well I see, stealing $2000 for them to set up a snow-cone stand; as Justin Wilson used to say, when making chicken and dumplings; "first steal a chicken"! Not the best thing to teach your kids, I'm a thinkin'....
I watched this on TV, and her lawyer was trying to enter new writs, after she had been found Guilty. When she was cuffed, she got mad (how dare they?) and made the Officers drag her out of the courtroom! No judge likes Drama in his courtroom, so it is likely that whatever sentence he was considering, just increased appreciably.
In a commentary on modern life, Senator Robinson used embezzled money to pay for her wedding, honeymoon, and subsequent divorce. “Anyone who seeks to take advantage of government programs will be vigorously investigated by the FBI, regardless of who they are or any position they hold.” Those entrusted with federal money aren’t allowed to use it to pay off their “credit cards and student loan.”
The bottom line is that she was insulted that anyone would dare investigate her for using 'her' money! Her assumption was that she could use this Money, as she saw fit; was proven wrong, as any thinking person would have known.
The stock liberal attack I didn't hear was that these charges were racist...I guess that is next....

Well, she has been convicted and is awaiting her sentence. She is NOT skipping over this! She will also have to make restitution for the theft. She is facing 1.5 to 20 years in prison,
Then she acted like an ass in his courtroom, BEFORE he decided on her sentence; and made his bailiff drag her out! OUCH!

Under the False Claims Act a company or person is liable for penalties of 3 times the amount of the false claim. Anyone in government should be subject to the same except 10 times seems very reasonable.
Agreed, but I will settle for a sentence of 20 years hard time for her! They need to pay full to the Rule of Law, so we can get our Republic back!
