Logical Speculation

I'm sure everyone has by now seen the posts regarding 5G making the rounds on social media, some are speculation on the health risks, some go as far as saying it's helping the spread of the Wuhan Virus and some are saying there's absolutely nothing to worry about. The truth can always be found somewhere in the middle.

There seems to be two or three completely different narratives here that are being conflated, the first being that some people are worried about the health risks of 5G technology and if it's completely safe. The reason being is that there has been almost no independent scientific research done or published, on the biological effects of 5G. Have a look at the video below of a US Senate Commerce hearing from last year, where the FCC & FDA admitted to not knowing of any research or on-going research into potential health risks 5G. Why is this kind of a red flag, well that's because the FCC have determined 5G safe, but have failed to adequately explain how they come to this conclusion with no research. That's kind of like saying car's are completely safe, as long as you don't test driving them straight into a concrete wall.

Another point to consider is the 5G Appeal, which you can check out for yourself here. As much as I don't like citing scientific consensus, like the "97% of publishing climate scientists agree climate change is due to human activity" over the scientific method. I do believe we should at least look into it further, but just because people with lab coats agree, does not make a scientific fact. The 5G Appeal is 324 scientists and doctors, who have recommend a moratorium on the roll-out of the fifth generation, 5G, for telecommunication until potential hazards for human health and the environment have been fully investigated by scientists independent from industry.

Nobody says the consensus of scientists agrees that E=mc2. Nobody says the consensus is that the sun is 93 million miles away. It would never occur to anyone to speak that way.

The other narrative here is from people who very much distrust the government in big corporations, and they have good reason to distrust them historically. These skeptics, let's call them that as I don't like the pejorative conspiracy theorists label, which is applied to anyone who doesn't parrot the mainstream narrative. Some of those skeptical of the "official story" have come to some questionable theories, like 5G could help spread the coronavirus. I personally think that might be a bit of a stretch, but some of the arguments made could have some validity, obviously there needs to be more investigation. Then there are those on the skeptical spectrum that believe telecommunications companies are maybe hiding or not disclosing minor health risk due to profit losses, which happens all the time, and is in no way some far fetched conspiracy.

What seems to be happening now, is anyone questioning 5G and asking for more research into health ricks are being lumped in with those speculating that 5G is being purposefully implemented or with no regard to health risks.

The last part of this entire story, is of course the mainstream news, driving this all because of click bate. The same people who for the last 3 years have pushed the Russian conspiracy theory 24 hours a day, are now saying you shouldn't share conspiracy theories. They should just shut the fuck up, let people have their conspiracy theories and speculations, sometimes those turn out to be true. Remember when "conspiracy theorists" were saying China is lying about the virus in Wuhan and WHO was an accomplice in keeping the truth hidden, yeah the entire world is in lockdown, probably should have listened to those conspiracy nuts on YouTube.
