when I went to google news this morning to see what was up with bitcoin, somehow I ran into this article:

https://www.haaretz.com/us-news/.premium-militant-anti-fascism-is-self-defense-1.7425726

Right after antifa brutally punched a vietamese-American Gay reporter to the point where he suffered brain bleed, this speaker comes out and says that anifa acts in self defense.

It seems strange, and even damning, that a Jewish newspaper would publish this nonsense. But sometimes newspapers print articles from people they don't agree with. What better way to ridicule your worse enemies then let them speak freely and show to the world how dumb and spiteful they really are.

As the title shows, the author is Stanislav Vysotsky. The author page from haaretz revealed that he is, again as you can tell from the title, a professor from the university of Wisconsin-whitewater.

A quick google search shows that he used to be a professor at Salem, Oregon. And that he taught at Williamette University.

and his resume from williamette

There might be a reason why Antifa is friendly towards Williamette weekly and uses their posts. This is what apparently another journalist/photograph wrote who was with Andy Ngo.

For some reason they don’t bother Katie Shepherd of the Willamette Week or Jason Wilson of The Guardian. Both have given Antifa very favorable coverage compared to their coverage of the opposing groups of Patriot Prayer, Proud Boys, and Haley Adams.

I was eventually found his twitter page, then did a few searches. here, he says he was born in Russia.

A few more searches revealed that Antifa has hosted him before. At a place called Cider riot. for a list of other places rose city antifa has had events check here: facebook events: (Terry D. Schrunk Plaza, unknown at 14 NE Killingsworth St, Black Water, Tom McCall Waterfront Park, Keller Auditorium, In Other Words Feminist Community Center, Oregon State Capitol, unknown at The E 39th Street overpass, Chapman Square, Salmon Street Fountain, PSU Hoffmann Hall, Triumph Coffee, Anarres Infoshop & Community Space ). Some of these places were subject to their protest, some knowingly or unknowning hosted them, and governmental units generally aren't allowed to discriminate based upon speaker in public fora. I'll try to map these out next week.

Cider Riot has knowingly hosted Antifa events before.

Cider riot was previously known as a hotbed of Antifa. Somehow patriot prayer interacted with the cider house, and a fight broke out. Of the injured, the company alleged a woman [or trans women] was attacked and her vertebrae reportedly fractured, cider riots is suing the patriot prayer group seeking a million in Damages. The suit could be interesting to get names of antifa, but none were named in the complaint. Both sides did many bad things, and there was clear journalism going on. The confrontation lasted just under an hour, and neither side called the police. What good is seeking an injunction if you are unwilling to enforce it-or call law enforcement. Instead antifa patrons organized with weapons and initiated their use-they don't pass the clean hands doctrine for equity. One of the fights were mutual with both sides shaking hands afterwards, but still not legal. As far as the woman who allegedly fractured her vertebrae. She was lounging at the proud boys with fists. The way the antifa crowd handled her afterwards risks further injury to someone with a back injury. One thing you'll notice in watching the videos is a lot of antifa people here, but very few parked cars. There were a few bikes. I mean, I am guessing most probably live within 10 minutes of cider riot-though some could have took a bus.

the complaint:

As we remember from south parks, the way to stop the civil war is to cut off their supply of alcohol. This can be done constitutionally, portland just needs to pass an ordinance prohibiting the sale of alcohol to masked patron. See for example, California v Lerue affirming the states rights to regulate the sale of alcohol even above first amendment concerns. Alternatively, the police could go there undercover.

Anyways, enough about cider riot. Stanislav also had other meetings with rose city antifa. even tabling for them, but saying he wasn't a member.

Of course antifa didn't like that article and wrote a response. And stanislav issued a rebuttle statement.

Stanislav Vysotsky: As a sociologist doing ethnographic research, I try to remain a neutral observer when I am conducting field research. For Pitkin to imply I am secretly working with the anti-fascist group is inaccurate; calls into question my integrity as a scholar; and makes my work more difficult. What I told Pitkin was a summary of current social movement theories explaining how movements and counter-movements use tactical and strategic activities in propaganda, mobilization, and recruitment campaigns. Thus what I said can be found in scores of sociological books, chapters, and journal articles. I was speaking as an academic, not as member of the anti-fascist group.

neutral and academic my @$$.

Perhaps we should contact ICE and see if Stanislav Vysotsky is here legally, and if they will deport him. You know, like what we did to the real German fascists back during WW2. As a professor it appears he called everyone he doesn't like a fascists to defend the acts of anti-fascists. It is fascinating what they allow to get Phds and even teach at our universities. Students should feel scammed-but he teaches sociology anyways which students should feel scammed when taking anyways. People should demand that the University of Wisconsin sever ties with this terrorist loving professor.

Some more info on stanislav after posting.

Hmm, he worked in a hair salon and he doesn't have kids. Imagine my shock.
