Lo and Behold

After Googling "world will never be the same" most of the results are in direct reference to COVID-19 and the economic meltdown, despite there being a ton of songs and other popular mediums with the same message.

Brave new world.jpg

Who'd a thunk it.

So many things are going to change.
However, I'd like to focus on some big ones that a lot of people might not realize.

New spending habits.

It is no secret that most people live paycheck to paycheck. We live in a disposable society that glorifies instant gratification and extreme wealth/status. Fashion was practically invented to keep people buying things after they "went out of style" but still remained fully functional.

Change coming?

The fallout of this economic disaster could have drastic effect on future spending patterns. I've already spoken to the middle-class getting utterly squeezed into oblivion. What happens if things like fashion, vacationing, socializing, and partying become far less popular because citizens are more worried about survival? If a lot of businesses don't get taken out by this shutdown outright, they very well could have a completely obsolete business model after the economy reopens.

Who's going to buy a $200 pair of shoes knowing the entire economy could be shut down the next day for months without any warning?

Sure, there will be some, but there will also be far fewer.
This is a numbers game.

Retail already operates on razor-thin profit margins.

Even a 5% loss can take a company from make to break levels.

assetinflation.jpg

Deflation into hyperinflation fishtail?

Okay, so imagine millions of people saving up a few thousand dollars for the first time ever in their lives because of this whole shitstorm and the fear it has caused. We all know what a powerful motivator fear is.

What's happening during this time? Those same people aren't buying the things they normally would be! This causes retail to panic and lower prices. Lower prices means deflation is going to occur, even in the face of the Fed printing out trillions a day. The whole situation is insane. Purchasing power will go up even though inflation is completely uncapped because citizens are terrified to buy things that aren't essential. Kids gotta eat, ya'll.

However, at some point the fishtail will swing back. A lot of people have saved up those thousands of dollars and they now are in a place where they feel safe because this whole thing has finally blown over. Do you think these people have the self control to continue not spending their money like fools? Hmmmmm, think again. At some point the fishtail will swing back and we're all going to get slapped by the long dick of inflation due to massive capital injections into the economy.

hello world.jpg

The entire world is about to experience some kind of crazy reboot. Seriously though, we haven't even got to the first of the month when rent and bills are due. Give this whole quarantine thing a few more weeks and see what happens. It's not going to be pretty.

Huge pushes for the option to work from home.

It's always amazed me that there are so few options to work from home.
Even companies that can easily provide this option often choose not to.

What about now?

I bet those same companies are feeling pretty damn stupid currently for not catering to this obvious advantage beforehand. If it wasn't a priority before, it sure as hell is now.

This is an aspect where crypto really has a chance to shine.

As the Internet of Money, crypto is well suited to create jobs and pay people from home.
Again, enough competition in this regard will push traditional businesses into the red.

worldpopulation1.gif

Some are saying this is all part of the Globalist Agenda to take over the world. Some are saying humanity is due for a culling. Yes, well, if you look at the population of humanity over the last 2000 years that would certainly seem to be the case, wouldn't it? We've all seen these exponential bubbles before, and they don't end well... do they?

Would it be such a bad thing?

1, 2, even 6 BILLION people dead? Depends on your perspective I guess. I'm sure most would actually find it quite terrifying... perhaps even the very definition of terror. In a certain sense all I see is another boom/bust cycle; another colony of bacteria that's expended all its resources and faces the only option left to avoid complete extinction.

Ah sweet privilege.

Perhaps I only get to say things like this because I'm white... and a man... and straight... and my parents are rich... and I don't have idiot spending habits... and I understand the world better than most of the people I talk to in person... and...

Or maybe that's just what the liberals want me to think! lol

Regardless, I'm in a pretty awesome position to survive such an apocalypse if one happens to pop up. I mean, for one, I live in America, and most citizens are ignorant/apathetic, but more importantly overpopulation isn't that big of a deal here, especially if you move away from the coastline. India and China are done fucked, I tell ya.

That's enough morbid curiosity for one day.

godofdeathgotthrones.jpg

Massive increase in libertarians, homesteaders, preppers, and skeptics.

Again, people are naturally going to start getting interested in activities that can really only help the crypto movement in the long run.

  • Food shortage >> Homesteader >> crypto
  • Depopulation >> Prepper >> crypto
  • Authoritarian government >> Libertarian >> crypto
  • Infinite money printing >> Sound Money >> crypto
  • Supply line disruption >> 3D Printing >> crypto
  • Energy crisis >> renewable energy >> crypto
  • Distrust MSM >> decentralized information >> crypto
  • Healthcare Monopoly >> ???????? >> crypto

All roads lead to crypto.

Justin Sun was the best thing that's happened for Steem, just like this COVID-19 is the best thing that's happened for the economy. The craziest part is no one realizes it yet. Remember when we were all running around screaming on Steem?

JUSTIN SUN IS THE WORST THING TO HAPPEN EVER!!!

That's literally happening right now in the legacy economy and COVID-19... literally in the same month... the timing is fucking insane.

Serious Shakespeare timing.
Which is why it must all be some dastardly psyop, amirite? lol.

What was the result?

We turned our back on the corrupted governance structure (distribution) and forked a new one. Now everyone is super hyped about the future. Developers are working day and night for peanuts just for a chance at freedom. I see the same thing happening in the legacy economy, only it's going to take a hell of a lot longer to accomplish.

Perhaps it's not as bad as the doomsayers make it out to be?

To be sure: we are entering a rapid state of extinction, radical environmental change, and hyper evolution. Yes, we might not all survive it (rip Koreans) but those that make it out to the other side just might be able to build themselves a better world.

One can hope.

Will be curious to see where this ends up, but in the short term future there is likely to be an upswing in the economy as many who get the stimulus and super unemployment find themselves with more cash than they ever had for 2-4 months. I argued with many the last time they had a major stimulus that gave most to the elite that if they would have given it all to the low people it would prove trickle UP economics as within a week or so most would have spent it on frivolous bullshit giving it to those same rich folks.

I agree, Justin Sun lit a fire I thought was an illusion/bullshit after my first year on Steemit. I really hope the community can stay cohesive enough to keep building on the momentum.

What's going to happen in the short term as these funds are disbursed to we plebs is that we'll spend them, and prices will rise.

Inflation.

When $T's go into the accounts of megawealthy banksters, they don't go out and buy corndogs to feed their starving whelps. No inflation.

We got rid of @ned and Tron in the same fell swoop. We're back to the same dozen or so whales that control consensus witnesses historically. We didn't really change anything. Distribution has only changed for one account. One less whale.

Hive isn't less centralized now than Steem was two months ago, except for that one whale. The oligarchs that currently exercise governance are the same ones that controlled Steem then, and none of them are immortal. Someday every satoshi of stake they hodl will pass to other oligarchs, if stake isn't being surreptitiously accumulated by an actor hostile to their hegemonic oligarchy already.

Plenty of banksters have personal assets greater than all crypto capital together. For those parties, censoring Hive would be trivial, because all it takes is stake.

We need a more substantial defense of our censorship resistance than the extant whales that currently defend it with all they have - because they're minnows in the big pond. We are discovering more and more that factual information is not optional in the face of lying about pandemic that can get us dead. Earlier this month Bill DeBlasio was telling folks in New York to get out and act normal.

That killed people, and still is killing people, in New York.

I know my life depends on free speech, and the whales on Hive are a slim barrier between lies and my coffin IMHO.

We need more than the price of our Hive to keep us safe from censorship.

Perhaps, Hive should do away with the shading of downvoted content. Perhaps, replace downvoting flags with dislikes. Perhaps, add the option to utilize different reward pools and tips. Perhaps a different system for voting for witnesses that requires some kind of authentication to prove a person is not a bot when voting and do away with voting via how much money a person may have in an account.

It needs to be more than just stake. Monopoly is inevitable, and has long ago made nominal funds to 51% Hive trivially available to many censors today. Sun Yuchen has proved to be terribly anti-free speech, and he's the least of the threat in terms of hodlings IRL.

We depend on stake to control governance, of Hive. It's like wearing a t-shirt and calling it a bullet proof vest.

I would love for a social networking system that would, instead of being like Facebook, utilize email-like communication between different websites, different computers all around the world, different servers, different programs communicating with each other in order to make email work, and also IPFS and Bit Torrent in allowing for each account to be independent and yet capable of communication cross-platform. We can call it Mea Omnia.

Different perspective for sure. I’m just not looking forward to the agenda that erodes cash and things that are on their radar for elimination. It’s just those pesky proletariat in the way.

Healthcare Monopoly >> ???????? >> crypto

  • Healthcare Monopoly >> proper vitaminization >> crypto

The USDA recommended daily allowance of vitamins is the minimum you need to stay alive. We should be having much more vitamins, but with our nutrition deficit food, we are sorely lacking.

And yes, enough vitamin C, and the Wuhan-flu is not big thing.

  • Healthcare Monopoly >> Vibrational Healing (sound and light) >> crypto

Yes, these healing modalities are really starting to shine. More people are trying them and finding they work. Especially on things that allopathic medicine has completely failed (multiple times)

  • Healthcare Monopoly >> Homeopathy >> crypto

People are finding a lot of the old wives tale brews really work, and now that we have modern chemistry we are finding out why. (and Big Pharma is really upset because they can't patent the shit)

I wish people would follow the links to the published research on my blog, from journals like the Lancet, they aren't told about by the enemedia, because the present nonchalance about this pandemic and it's long term consequences is misplaced.

One of the first studies, in the Lancet, on SARS2 symptoms revealed that it causes AIDS. Don't believe me. Read the paper yourself. Other symptoms are sterilization (because it attacks the testes. This is why men that have 'recovered' have half the testosterone they did before getting ill), and dormancy in nerve cells (like herpes) that can cause instant death by destroying the autonomic nervous system that controls breathing and heartbeat. This is why people just collapsed and died, and also what causes the loss of the sense of smell.

But the dormancy suddenly ending is far worse, because long after folks are recovered, the virus can re-emerge, and the pandemic can just start all over again.

The Black Death kept killing people in Europe for centuries. This isn't going to end on Easter.

There's no immunity from SARS viruses. Every attempt at a vaccine for SARS didn't provide immunity, and actually made getting SARS much worse, causing greater injury and higher mortality. When you catch the measles you are vaccinated for life. Dunno how long it lasts yet, but when you catch SARS2 you are vaccinated for SARS2, and the next time the disease emerges those higher rates of injury and death will be the result for everyone that has already had it.

None of this is secret. It's just not stuff they tell us. The scientists that did the research published it. It's linked to on my blog, and you can read it yourself. Knowing that these symptoms and features of this pathogen result from infection changes what will emerge on the other side, if there's ever an end to it.

Except DRACO. There's probably a cure. We're not getting it. Rich people probably have it, because they don't need to rely on government or Big Pharma funds to pay for in vivo tests and production. Really rich people being immune to becoming sterilized, catching AIDS, or any other viral diseases, really changes what the political structure will be like in a few years or a decade, particularly as the prices of real estate fly way out of reach after the FED pumps $T/day for a while longer into the stock market - that taxpayers owe. How much do American taxpayers owe the FED now? $30T? $40T? It was over $20T before this started.

The consequences of these things is extremely troubling, especially when considered in concert, and in view of the push to smart cities, surveillance, Greta's yowling, and carbon credits - which privatize the very basis for life itself. We are, after all, carbon based life forms. I harp a lot on automation, and how we can use it to become more free. Well, automation also frees rich people from needing employees too. Ever hear the phrase 'useless eaters'? Debtor's prisons are bad enough, but debtor's coffins are the end game.

Just read the papers. Read the science instead of relying on the talking heads to inform you of what you need to know, because they're not telling you.

I've done my very best to reveal the facts for those that will listen. These scientific papers aren't written in Chinese, and the conclusions are not hard to understand. Understanding those is key to forming plans and taking successful actions going forward.

I hope you do.

I hope everyone does, because my sons are going to need well informed allies to help them succeed in the very different world that's coming.

Good luck. Without knowledge, that's all you have.

In your analogy, Sun is to Hive as COVID is to what exactly? Would it be simply crypto related things in general or would it be new spending habits like you said or natural remedies or what?
