With the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence mixed, it happens that reminds me of the old Skynet, but not only in the cinematic sense of antagonist, but rather in that it was a creation to integrate with cyberspace and facilitate people's lives, initially for military purposes, but with obvious power for civil uses.
I think in a certain way we are going in that direction.

It seems that all these technologies at the beginning are military experiments and then take their place in the civil life of people, the good thing about all this is the utility they have to facilitate some tasks at home, work and studies.
I share your point of view.
