Houses built during the reign of Queen Victoria
Imagine a place that there's actually an old lady asked me politely 'Do you mind if I turn off this light? I want to look at the moon'
A few blocks from downtown Santa Cruz and a few blocks from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Santa Cruz Wharf. Around here, there're so many Victorian houses where you don't really see them too often elsewhere. I used to live in San Francisco. There're a lot of them there as well and luckily, I was once stayed in one for a few weeks.
Now for some of you who may wonder 'Victorian House?
Victorian House
In Great Britain and former British colonies, a Victorian house generally means any house built during the reign of Queen Victoria. During the Industrial Revolution, successive housing booms resulted in the building of many millions of Victorian houses which are now a defining feature of most British towns and cities and Santa Cruz is sure one of them
Elegant looking old-school houses
They're beautiful and unique-looking. You would sure right away notice when you pass by one. Like this morning on the way from my hostel to downtown Santa Cruz, I passed a bunch of them pretty houses. I captured a few to share with you all here.
Pretty, aren't they? Some look older than the others since it's been a while. I'm actually lucky to be in one at the moment I'm writing this post. It's been renovated so it looks like new. Inside, not as big as the newly built houses nowadays but it's quite cozy and I'm loving it so far.
Have you seen Victorian Houses with your own eyes? Have you been to or lived in one?

I was raised in a house built in 1673, and it was haunted.
Really!!?? LOL I just stayed in a hostel here in Santa Cruz. The house was built in 1890. Yours is even older. That's so dope!!! except for the haunting part :/
See the pub and the date inscribed, I lived in the house to the right (in the picture with the white entranceway). The house belonged to the pub and both were built at the same time.
There's lots of old relics in England. It's a very old country. I never met the ghost but my father did :)
