Your story left me without words, I can't imagine how hard that was for you and I feel that nothing that could be said would make any difference but after reading it can't leave this post without a comment anyways. Now I understand your choice of living in the woods and is for me a wise choice.
Why is the police so fucked up in every country?, here I've seen also police brutality in person, not directly to me but to others, that anyways is a child's play compared with what happened to you.

To answer your question though, I think that they are so fucked up because folks have allowed them to become that way. Hopefully some of that will now change.
I enjoy our talks in the eXode channel as well. I still say that the best thing to happen for me in 2020 is finding out about eXode and meeting/conversing with the community involved with it!
Yeah you're absolutely right, people there is very nice, a great place to be in these fucked up days.
This is very true and why I like the idea of slow gradual growth!
No education required, low pay, shitty neighborhoods.
