ORCHID Yellow phalaenopsis crocheted

Phalaenopsis is a genus of orchid, of great economic importance in the world. Mainly its various hybrids of different colors. Today I bring you this beautiful flower made in crochet, it is the first part of the plant so keep an eye on the next post to see the complete plant. Used materials:

• Light yellow and dark yellow crochet thread.
• Knitting needle
• Goldsmith wire
• Scissors

Image 3. Materials

Orchid flowers are characterized by having 3 sepals, 2 petals, 1 lip, and a column.

Petal

We take the light yellow thread, we start with a magic ring. V-1 For sepal 1 you make 17 chains, then you come back with 15 double crochets inserting it in the second chain and you make a slip stitch on the magic ring.

Repeat the previous step two more times to form sepals 2 and 3

V-2. Start with 1 single crochet, 2 double crochet, 3 double crochet, 3 double double crochet, 2 triple double crochet, 1 double double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 double crochet and chain 2

We continue with the V-2 of sepal 1, 1 single crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 double double crochet, 2 triple double crochet, 3 double double crochet, 3 double crochet, 2 double crochet and 1 double crochet .

V-2 starts with 1 single crochet, 1 double crochet, 9 double double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 double crochet and two chains

V-4 inserts the wire into the fabric with 19 single crochet, 3 single crochet in the same hole and 19 single crochet. Repeat it again

Lip and column

V-1. Take the dark yellow thread and make a magic ring, 5 chains, 2 double crochet, 5 chains, 1 slip stitch, 4 chains, 2 double double crochet, 4 chains, 1 slip stitch, 4 chains, 2 double double crochet, 4 chain stitches, 1 slip stitch, chain 4, 2 double double crochets. 4 chains. 1 slip stitch.

V-2. Insert the wire into the fabric and perform 36 single crochets

Wonderful and unusual flower. You crochet version is as beautiful as the original one (but much more durable :-DDD) Here you can buy orchid only in a shop as they do not grow in nature (much too cold) but my mother loves them and has several at home.

Hello, if these are more durable. In my country (Venezuela) there are approximately 1600 species of orchids, occupying the fifth place.
