Homesteaders - Living Naturally, Newsletter. 21st August 2019

I didn't think I would be getting this newsletter out today. Our internet dropped out, leaving me late starting. I've also been feeling a bit under the weather today, so maybe this is a good time to have a think on the @ecotrain question of the week. Read on to see what I mean.

Things happening in the community.

The new @ecotrain question of the week is up. We are being asked what we feel is the most important thing when it comes to our health. When you get sick and struggle to recover from it what to you attribute it too? Was it your eating habits which lapsed, your usual health regime which went by the wayside or does stress bring your immune system down?

Over at @naturalmedicine the latest challenge is in full swing with 40 Steem in prizes up for grabs. Share your stories on herbs by 5th September to be in with a chance to grab a Steem prize.

Here's a conversation that you may be interesting to join in, @mountainjewel asks two questions, about the environment and the future, which raise a lot of food for thought.

Some highlights of the week

@briarch has some real down to earth advice on cloth diapers for anyone who has no experience in this. It's a must read for anyone considering it for their little ones.

In permaculture attention is paid to so much more than the obvious things we might think of for plants. @wildhomesteading shares the importance of fungus in our food forests and gardens.

We all have different preferences and ways of doing things, so how we choose to garden and what we choose to grow reflects this. @smallblockfuelie talks a bit about beans and why they prefer to grow pole over bush beans.

Forgiving recipes are right up my alley (I rarely have all the ingredients most things call for anyway)! So I had to share this muesli bar recipe from @riverflows.

Thank you for stopping by. This week's newsletter was brought to you by @minismallholding.
