LOTS OF GOOD STUFF HAPPENING!!!

On the farm in town, we are starting to reap the benefits of all our work earlier this spring. Food on the farm takes a lot longer and a lot more work then just running to the store to get it. But it always tastes so much better. And we have the benefits of knowing exactly what has been put into our food. So let's get this started...

The tomatoes

We planted tomato plants this spring and they are doing amazing!!!

*I laced them through our fence and they love it...over 6 feet(2 meters) tall so far and full of ripening tomatoes.

The chickens have started pulling their weight.

Two days ago I collected our first two eggs from our hens and we got one more yesterday as well. I'm extremely excited about this as it is a continuous food source and eggs are really delicious!!😁😁

*Green egg from one of my "Olive Layers"...now I can have green eggs and ham.😂🤣😂🤣

*My friend, Little Green...she is the layer of the green egg and one of my favorite of all my chickens. She will fly up to my shoulder to hang out with me when I call her.

*A video of our Cattle dog playing with our main rooster Big Green. They are hilarious to watch.😂🤣 Tell me in the comments who you think won.

STRAWBERRIES

The strawberries that were planted are producing small delicious red treasures. They are really sweet and I usually check them and the tomato plants each morning and eat tomatoes and strawberries for breakfast when I can. And with the recent addition of eggs...breakfast gets a good boost.😁

*See my bounty from this morning. And soon we will be getting a lot more each day as the chickens and plants are slowly increasing their production.

WORKHORSE SOLD

To fund some necessary things in life, I had to sell our white Ford Super Duty. Plus it was just too nice for the homesteading life and was doomed to be slowly destroyed.😁😁

*This is her new home, where she will live a campers lifestyle... nice and easy living for an old horse like her...she will be missed though.

*A Timber Rattler I ran into out at the homestead a couple weeks ago. He was about six feet long and looked healthy. Mice shouldn't be a problem around my place.😂😅😅
