A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS IN ILLINOIS~~A HOMESTEAD UPDATE

avatar

AS FREEDOMS ARE TAKEN

Under the guise of protecting us, my state has passed laws forbidding me from working as I am not considered in the "elite class" of "essential workers."

I am still allowed to travel for essential reasons (as defined by the State) such as medical needs, grocery shopping, and to put gas in my car.

I ALWAYS THOUGHT MY JOB TO ENSURE MY FAMILY WAS SAFE WAS PRETTY ESSENTIAL

This would include things like protecting them from threats, ensuring the house is livable(heat/electric) the ability to provide food....all these things require that I work. But now I'm being told I cannot work or I could face fines.

THESE LAWS COME FROM THE SAME STATE THAT DEMANDS I PAY PROPERTY TAXES, SALES TAXES, GUN TAXES, STATE, COUNTY, ON LOCAL TAXES.

Illinois how are you going to expect me to pay you all if you won't let me work?!?

A NEW(BUT SAME) DIRECTION...

In light of the events going on locally and around the world, I do not know how much longer i will be able to afford living as I do now. For this reason, I am doubling up on the efforts to lower all my costs of living to best ensure my family will survive through all this insanity.

STARTING THE STORAGE SHED

To have the ability to be as adaptable as possible to any situation, I have begun building a small storage shed at the homestead.

HIGH HOPES ON COMPLETION

I am making this shed as simple as I can with the hopes I can complete it within a week time. It will first be a storage place for essential items needed if we have to leave town quickly.

Today was a rough day for building as it started out snowing and then rained on me the whole day. But I managed to get all the corner poles put into the ground and get a couple boards screwed into place. Tomorrow is supposed to be nicer and with some luck I'm hoping to have one whole side done.

In these troubling times please remember to be safe....and try to keep in mind, you are the only one who can discover thuths for you. Anything else is just a story.

I love you all and thank each and every one of you for all your support and love. Thanks for coming along.

Hang tough mate. Better times will come, but we have a pretty steep wave to ride at the moment. If there's anything I can do to help from across the globe, let me know.

Thanks dearest friend. As of now we are just in a "save money any way we can" mode. Along with "get the heck out of town mode".😆
Just knowing good people like you are out there helps.🤗🤗
And today was a much better day, as the snow and rain left me alone and i made some pretty good progress on the shed.

Good luck John! I wish you and your family well! These types of 'interim' laws, are a test run for what is to come. More laws and less freedom. For me that's the much scarier part of it all....not the virus itself!

Yep....no doubt about that. The elite are going to do much worse then this little cold. That is a guarantee.
And thank you so much for the well wishes for my family. I wish you and your family all the very best and i hope you are able to stay safe and healthy brother.🤗

Are you still up in Chicago brother? If so how are things up there? I hope this will be short lived, but i really think it will end up being a more long term situation. How are you doing my friend?

Hi, Mr. Doer. Yes I'm still in Chicago. All the bars and restaurants and even museums are closed. My job orientation even got cancelled. Me and my family are doing fine though. Playing games like monopoly. Sorry for the late reply. I'm not quite used to the switch yet.
