Rest In Peace Our Beloved Steemauto

(Edited)

With a heavy heart, we need to say goodbye to steemauto that has served us well for the last 3 years.

@mahdiyari started steemauto on 16 Oct 2017 to enable us to support quality content creators even when we are busy at work.

The service had ended on 19 May 2020.

It is really a good initiative where good content creators can get supported with their content.

The importance of selecting good content creators to be added to the upvote list rather than supporting for the exchange of votes to farm for reward.

In every good thing, there can be negative side to it.

In general, it is a good free tool from @mahdiyari.

@mahdiyari made an official announcement in the below post.

Thank you very much @mahdiyari for creating steemauto and currently supporting us with hive.vote.

I understand the recent changes of the weekly default limit had caused some users of hive.vote to be unhappy about it.

We can change the default weekly limit just that it will use up some of our time.

@mahdiyari made a post to apologise for the inconvenient but we must appreciate it as it is really a free service supported by @mahdiyari.

@mahdiyari supported us with hive.vote out of his own good will and it is not really free over his side as he needs to pay to maintain the system for us.

I appreciate all you are doing in supporting us in different ways and the support you are giving to Hive platform now.

For those who are looking for alternative on the steem platform, many of us used steemvoter few years ago that is part of @buildteam subsidiary.

I have checked out the above website and it is still around but I am not sure whether it is still serving steem after the recent hardfork.

The last post update was two months ago in the below link.

Goodbye steemauto and rest in peace.

You have served us well and you will stay within our precious memory of all you have done for us.

So "hive.vote" is still up and running but "steemvoter" is finished? I noticed today some autovotes I got from Steem didn't carry over anymore. I also noticed low activity on hive compared to normal, so many on twitter though.

Hive.vote is here to stay but steemauto will totally stop.

I mentioned about steemvoter in my post with the link but not sure whether it is still supporting steem after the hardfork. You can check it out.
