What can you earn in the game?

Lost Relics is a dungeon crawler game. Clear a dungeon and you can keep all the items you found. Die in the dungeon and lose all of the 'virtual' items you are carrying. Virtual items are in-game only, while blockchain items will remain in your possession even after dying. Virtual items that you are not using can be stored in your stash once you are out of the dungeon which will prevent them from being lost when dying.

Blockchain items can be bought in the store or found at random during adventures.

Creating an Enjin Wallet

Before you can create a Lost Relics account, you will need an Enjin wallet. Enjin wallet is a mobile app, so have your smartphone ready.

Once the app is installed, create a new wallet or import an existing ETH wallet. I imported my Metamask wallet which I am not using. My recommendation would be to import an unused wallet or create a new one. Mixing keys for the same wallet with different applications is probably not a good idea.

Creating your Lost Relics account

Open the Lost Relics website and create a new account.

You have to input your mail address. You will not get a password, instead you authenticate with sign-in mails you are going to receive on every log-in.

Link Enjin and Lost Relics

Still on the Lost Relics website select 'Wallet' from the account menu and select the link wallet option. This will show a QR code. For Brave users: you will need to lower your shields. With shields-up the code was not displayed for me.

Open the Enjin wallet app and tap the 'Scan QR code' option in the sidebar.

That's it, you have finished setting up your Lost Relics account!

Get into the game

Now you need to download the game client from the Lost Relics website.

When starting the install process, you will see the first sign of this game still being in early development. My Windows Defender wanted to stop me from installing it.

Well, I allowed it anyways. ;) So, after signing in with my mail address I was ready to start the game.

Follow the 'tutorial'. It only gets you to the town from where you will easily find the first dungeon. You're gonna die there.

After dying three times I watched this guy's How not to die in Lost Relics video and suddenly I cleared the dungeon without any problems.

Conclusion

Having played this for two hours now, I still have not found any blockchain items. They seem to be quite hard to find actually. From a profit point of view, I should probably be playing something else.

I was somehow mislead by the "Buy a Pendant or you will only be able to take out one blockchain item from a dungeon at a time". This sounded like you would easily find several in every grind. This is NOT the case.

But the game is still quite fun and addictive. I'll be back to playing it now. See you there!
