Current HIVE trading...

avatar

Currently there is not much trading going on for the HIVE token

The only exchange with a listing, and really showing any volume at all (that I have seen) is coming from the ionomy exchange.

Which looks like this:

(Source: https://ionomy.com/en/markets/btc-hive)

As you can see there has only been .11 BTC worth of HIVE traded thus far and I am not really sure how as most are claiming they are not being allowed to place orders on ionomy.

Patience is a virtue...

It appears we may have to wait a bit before a market price can really be set.

Based on the current bid and asks, the market price would be somewhere between $.16 and $.52 for HIVE.

Though, as I mentioned above, .11 BTC is hardly enough value to accurately judge a market price.

Also of note...

Most steem exchanges are still not currently allowing deposits or withdrawals.

So, if you were looking to trade some steem or HIVE from your steem or hive wallets, you may have to wait a bit longer.

Stay informed my friends.

Will be really interesting to see how things settle out over the next few weeks. Never a dull moment, it seems :-) Once we have several listings, and some decent trading volume, we'll see what happens. I believe it only takes a couple listings to get on coinmarketcap, which definitely counts for something.

I think one of the most important things to get this from launch pad into orbit is to power it through votes. The biggest mistake steemit made was for the whales not distributing votes to minnows. All it takes is 1 out of 10 whale votes, or even taken that 1 vote and dividing it by 10 or even 100 and voting for people posting. At this stage only well trained steemians are active on hive so it's not even a wasted vote. As long as people arent raping the rewards pool this will be a very effective way to create an active and engaged hive community that will attract new users.

it'll take some time. Blocktrades is saying they'll have Hive trading up soon enough, even between Steem and Hive, which I think is interesting. I intend to dump my Steem over to Hive if possible, but by the time I can do that the price of Steem may already be single digits.

I am waiting for the airdrop from binance. Do you have experience how long this usually takes?

I had some Steem that I tried to dump a few hours before the fork. But Steem was unavailable to trade everywhere. Crazy how the price can drop 50% when no one is trading it
