It will take time for word to spread, I hope you are able to keep the project going. I have added you to one of the list I keep for my own interest, so don't be overly concerned about a lack of followers, I am sure many other than myself have taken advantage of the peakd list function.

Like stevec I will re-blog the post so that perhaps a few of my followers will find it also.

Additions: perhaps upcoming meet-ups for people, a section that parents can get their kids involved in like contest designed for homeschoolers, or kid activity type post. Book of the month from Hive Authors.

Thanks for the feedback! Agree consistency and longevity are key. Aiming to keep this light-weight and sustainable as well as recruit 1-2 volunteers to help out when I'm unable to publish.

I need a way to crowd source tips because I'm certain I'm unaware of many events and contests. I'm thinking to ask folks to use the "news" tag to get my attention to be included in this digest.

A lot of it is going to be just hunting and pecking through post. If you do not use the list function of peakd I would suggest it so as to try and keep a list of know content producers, it will make it easier in the long run to find things.

Example would be one list for contest creators, (I have one for them), you simply add people who do contest on a regular basis to it. Then as you find more contest people you can add them with out getting your primary feed overloaded with post.

Creating and maintaining a list is pretty easy on peakd, you simply click the action box and then add to list, type in the name for the list. Make a list for each news section. By the time you get to edition ten of your posts you will have a pretty solid list setup and then putting the post together will be easier.
