Home Education Curation Collection. 1st November 2020

Welcome back and I hope you enjoy this week's features. In addition I would like to give a little update of a new way we want to share rewards around more. I know I haven't had as much time recently to come up with a challenge, so we've had liquid HBD building up. I don't like to see what should be supporting the community sitting idle, so I've powered some of the excess, 100 Hive to be precise. Moving forward I want to start rewarding those commenting on the community posts more. The account already upvotes comments on homeschool posts and I'm grateful we have both enough Hive Power to do so without them being dust votes and usually enough Vote Power as well, while the community is still fairly quiet. However, I want to share some of our liquid rewards with the community more and each week in the curation I'll announce who's been commenting the most and award Hive to them, as long as they are reasonable comments and not just a few words.

This week we had comments on two posts from, @ryivhnn and one each from @porters, @cmplxty, @cambridgeport90, @justinparke and @arrliinn. Thank you all for taking the time to interact in the community, I know everyone loves to get replies on their posts. One Hive each is heading your way, with a bit extra for @ryivhnn for her regular consistent support on this side of things.

This week @trucklife-family submitted a thought provoking article on letting go of the desire to teach. It might seem like a strange thing to say of home educating, but read for yourself and see what you think.

@sherylneil’s little ones have been using playdough to help with both their physical and mental development.

Sometimes you just need a break from modules, but that doesn't mean you can't continue with fun learning. @antonette and the family have been spelling things out with chips and making Christmas decorations ready for the holiday season.

@libertyacademy is back with some more learning, this time based around Little House on the Prairie and the psalm, The Lord is my shepherd.

@taliakerch has been finding out and comparing reasons for homeschooling and what fears might hold someone back from homeschooling. Some of the fears might surprise you.

Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have chosen @trucklife-family to be a 10% beneficiary of this post, and have added in another beneficiary for @canadian-coconut for the ongoing support. Thank you!

Thanks for the hive! It is indeed always great to have some comments in our posts, so engaging with folks is important! I’ve got another post coming in the community hopefully this week if all goes as planned.

Fingers crossed. I haven't had chance to write much myself, lately.

I've been sacrificing my sleep in order to get some posts put out there lol it's not that bad but last night I didn't get to sleep until about 1230 oops! I think I'll back off this week though, don't watch to catch a cold lol
I'll engage in the community instead!

I admit to doing the very same! I think it was a similar time I got to bed last night.

Thanks for the shoutout, I do wish I could be more active in this community, but then again, there are a lot of things I wish I had more time for each day. I guess that is the struggle of life, but love this community and what you all are doing with it.
