Organ Pipes National Park

(Edited)

On the way back from Bendigo we decided to stop at the Organ Pipes National Park. Going through green valleys and narrow roads lead you relatively near this astonishing nature's phenomenon called Organ Pipes rock. However, there is still necessary some easy walking to get to the actual thing. And what that thing is? Seek for yourself below:

What amazed me (for the second time) is seeing these perfectly hexagonal rock features just hovering in/under or from the ground.
And if these hexagonal basalt structures - formed from the rapid cooling of volcanic lava are not weird enough for you, just down the river there is heaps of other crazy stuff.

That looks like quite the steep hill to get up. Really cool area though.

Ah, it's another trick with Australian hills and mountains - you are never climbing to something, but rather you descend to see something really nice and then come back up. I know it's really weird. :)

Apparently the stream that was going through this area just swiped off part of the land exposing these rocks which were then turned into national park. :)

It's amazing! Does it have keyboards and bellows too?

Uhmmm, probably under the river - with a possibility of some strange creature playing it during the night :)

I always remember going here when I was a kid full stop it was never as spectacular as there because when I returned the place centre really small compared to when I was little. I really remember being fascinated by the name.

Hahaha! Yes... Different perception is really weird - I have those for some stuff from my hometown too... Guess we'll never see them with current eyes - but anyways, it is still an interesting spot :)

Those are some really interesting rock formations. Nature creates some amazing structures. Very cook. Looks like an awesome place for a hike outdoors.
