Comparto con ustedes, uno de las actividades que desde niña me gusta mucho, observar las aves en libertad.
El colibrí es uno de mis preferidos, por ser asombroso, me cautiva la belleza de los matices brillantes de sus plumas con el reflejo del sol.
El suave sonido que genera con sus alas por la rapidez de sus movimientos, que le permite sostener una posición como “suspendida en el aire”, y volar majestuosamente como si danzara, inclusive con movimientos únicos en retroceso.
Es un espectáculo verlo volar y alimentarse utilizando con inteligencia y destreza su largo pico, incluso cuando lo hacen con néctar artificial, muestra de su adaptación a la menor cantidad de plantas florales y crecimiento urbano.
Lamentablemente actualmente se encuentran en peligro de extinción en varios países, entre ellos Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, México y Venezuela.
A pesar de ser admirados desde tiempos remotos al relacionarlos con el amor y la fecundidad, por facilitar los procesos de polinización cuando se alimentan del néctar de las flores, y con la libertad por vivir libres, volando de un lugar a otro con autonomía.

The hummingbird is one of my favourites, because it is amazing, I am captivated by the beauty of the bright shades of its feathers with the reflection of the sun.
The soft sound it generates with its wings due to the speed of its movements, which allows it to hold a position as "suspended in the air", and fly majestically as if it were dancing, even with unique movements in reverse.
It is a spectacle to see her fly and feed using her long beak with intelligence and skill, even when they do it with artificial nectar, showing her adaptation to the least amount of floral plants and urban growth.
Unfortunately they are currently in danger of extinction in several countries, including Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Venezuela.
Although they have been admired since time immemorial for their relationship with love and fertility, for facilitating the processes of pollination when they feed on the nectar of flowers, and with the freedom to live freely, flying from one place to another with autonomy.

La cultura popular tiene muchas leyendas de los colibrí, la que más me gusta es la de origen Maya.

Esta leyenda relata que:

“Cuando te encuentras con esta ave mágica, alguien te está enviando buenos deseos y amor”.

Particularmente pienso que es un reto a la imaginación, pensar quien es esa persona que envía el mensaje, incluyendo seres queridos que ya no están físicamente con nosotros.
No obstante, doy las gracias y de manera recíproca envió un mensaje amoroso de respuesta, teniendo la ilusión que será recibido.

Popular culture has many legends of the hummingbirds, the one I like best is the one of Mayan origin.

This legend tells that:
When you meet this magic bird, someone is sending you good wishes and love.
I particularly think it is a challenge to the imagination, to think who is that person who sends the message, including loved ones who are no longer physically with us.
Nevertheless, I am grateful and reciprocate by sending a loving message in response, having the illusion that it will be received.
