This is my entry to the Hive Pets community contest - Christmas with our pets.

Christmas day is over, but we still have the festive spirit and it is always like a holiday at home. My dog and cats got extra attention as I am home. Penny, the dog is like a stamp attached to me and she is a real lap dog. The cats seems to be happy doing what they do everyday.

Years ago, when we had Penny and her daughter Jade, I bought them Christmas outfits.
Now Penny hardly can fit in it, but for the this year's photo session she has half dressed. That is what she is thinking about.

And here is how Furry, the cat is giving a surprise look.

I found an old photo, 7 years ago we were walking the dogs on the beach, it was pretty nice weather and they were looking quite nice as Santa helpers.

And another old photo of Penny, when she has this funny hat. She did not like it.

Cats, on the other hand cannot be dressed, so I put some decoration next to Blue and took the shots.

This is the closest to Christmas tree we have. Usually we use an artificial one, but since we have cats at home, we do not risk to decorate it. Sure it will not stand the cats.

All in all, the Chritmas decoration at home is cat friendly. That means what we have is not going to be destroyed by the cats or to harm them.

I am worried about New Year's Eve and the fieworks. Penny is not much scared, but Furry and Blue will be. And for Blue this is going to be the first time. Previous years Furry was hiding in a cupboard when the fireworks started. This is a big concern each year and I hate to say nothing changes and people act so irresponsible.
