Hello furries, I love this pet community, I am fascinated by the pictures and stories you tell here, and once again I want to write about one of my most beloved pets, my Golden Retriever Max.

Max came into my life in 2009, like all puppies he was quite playful, he loved balls and blankets, I don't remember how many he destroyed, but they were his favorite toys. As time went by he learned the basic dog training commands, sit, bark, fetch. He was very obedient. this is a very predominant characteristic in dogs of that breed, and you have to know how to encourage it since the dogs are puppies. i never had to tie Max to any post so he wouldn't follow me, i simply told him to wait and sit and that was it. He was a good boy.

However, after a couple of years I began to notice that he was very fat, even though we played, I did not take him out to run or walk, so he gained a lot of weight. I have a friend that since he met Max he fell in love with him, he asked me to give him to him, that he was going to take care of him a lot, it was months of insistence, so I finally gave in, and even more motivated by the fact that Max was very fat.

So the condition to give Max for adoption was that I would help him to lose weight, that I would take good care of him and that of course he would always let me see him, and so it was.

Unfortunately after a few years Max got sick and died, his vet doctor said that he had genetic problems that complicated his renal system. One of the things they asked was if Max was adopted or bought, well yes, I had bought him from a kennel.

I never imagined what the dogs go through to get pups from those kennels, when they explained all that to me I swore I would never buy a dog from a kennel again.

In my opinion these places should disappear, the owners are cruel to the animals.

This is the story of my beloved Max, a golden puppy. I loved him very much and I remember him with much affection, I know that the time he lived was happy because we pampered him a lot.

Hermoso max ❤️
