Eng/Esp Tutorial for cleaning your pet's ears / Tutorial para la limpieza de oídos a tu mascota

"A well-groomed pet speaks well of its owner..."
It is well true that a groomed, well cared for pet generates that feeling of care, love and protection, our pet not only looks more beautiful, we avoid diseases and in turn feel good and happy.
Today I show you a small tutorial for the grooming of our pets' ears (applies to dogs and cats).
We will use the following implements:
- Hemostatic tweezers.
- Ear cleaning solution indicated for pets.
- Absorbent cotton.

Instructions:
- Place the pet in a place with good lighting and that both are comfortable, we start by lifting the ear of our pet to observe the condition in which it is located.

- Place the tweezers on your index finger and thumb and carefully extract the hairs that are inside the ear, you should not pull too hard or with little force, at the beginning it can be uncomfortable for them, the more hairs you gather in the tweezers the less you will have to pull.

- If you find it uncomfortable to work with the tweezers, you can also extract them with your fingers, using your index finger and thumb and pull the hairs with them. In the case of cats it is not necessary to extract the hairs since they have very few, we only proceed to clean with the solution and the cotton.
- The ear should be free of hairs or with very few so that the area is clear for easy cleaning.
- Apply 3 or 4 drops of cleaning solution into the ear and massage the base of the ear to disperse the liquid.
- Open the tweezers with your hand, roll the absorbent cotton in the tip, close the tweezers to hold it in place.

- Proceed to clean the ear very carefully without going to the bottom to avoid touching the eardrum and mistreat it, clean between the folds and edges of the inner ear, you can use the cotton you need until the ear is clean.

It is advisable to perform this procedure after bathing the pet, in this way we can absorb and clean the remains of water that could enter the ear and in turn avoid otitis or any other disease that can damage their hearing.

"Una mascota bien cuidada habla bien de su dueño..."
Bien es cierto que una mascota bien cuidada genera esa sensación de cuidado, amor y protección, nuestra mascota no solo luce mas hermosa, evitamos enfermedades y a su vez se sienten bien y felices.
Hoy les muestro un pequeño tutorial para el cuidado de los oídos de nuestras mascotas (aplica para perros y gatos).
Utilizaremos los siguientes implementos:
- Pinza hemostática.
- Solución limpiadora de oídos indicada para mascotas.
- Algodón.
Instrucciones:
- Ubica la mascota en un lugar con buena iluminación y que ambos estén cómodos, iniciamos levantando la oreja de nuestra mascota para observar la condición en la que se encuentra
- Con la pinza la colocas en tu dedo indice y pulgar y con cuidado extrae los pelos que se encuentra dentro del oído, no debes halar tan fuerte ni con poca fuerza si no a termino medio, al principio les puede resultar incomodo a ellos, mientras mas pelos reúnas en la pinza menos tendrás que halar.
- Si se te hace incomodo trabajar con la pinza, con tus dedos también puedes extraerlos, utilizando tus dedos indice y pulgar y halar con ellos los pelos. En el caso de los gatos no es necesario extraer los pelos puesto que tienen muy pocos, procedemos a solo limpiar con la solución y el algodón.
- La oreja debe quedar sin pelos o con muy pocos para que el área este despejada y pueda facilitar la limpieza.
- Aplicar dentro de la oreja 3 o 4 gotas de solución limpiadora y masajear la base de la oreja para que el liquido se disperse.
- Abre la pinza con tu mano, enrolla en la punta el algodón, cierra la pinza para que se mantenga sujetado.
- Procede a limpiar el oído con mucho cuidado sin ir hasta el fondo para así evitar tocar su tímpano y maltratarlo, limpiar entre los pliegues y los bordes de la oreja interna, puedes utilizar el algodón que necesites hasta que la oreja quede limpia.
Es recomendable realizar este procedimiento luego de bañar a la mascota, de esta forma podemos absorber y limpiar los restos de agua que pudieron entrar a la oreja y a su vez evitar la otitis o cualquier otra enfermedad que pueda perjudicar su audición.
