Curator Cat Proof-of-Cat: It Was a Dark and Stormy Night!

in Hive Pets2 months ago

Well, actually... first it was a bright and stormy day!

Greetings lovely Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia!

Today was one of those days where I was genuinely grateful to be a cozy and warm indoor cat... it was a beautiful sunny day outside, but there was a storm blowing and it was cooooold out there.

Enjoying that warm sun on my back... from INDOORS! And yes, the windows are filthy after wind and rain whipped dirt, dust and debris up on the glass!

The wind started up around lunchtime and had been blowing non-stop since then. Some of the gusts have been to 50mph (80 km/h)!

Makes me feel very sad for all the street cats who have to find a sheltered and warm spot tonight.

As the Dad-Hooman and I write this post, the electricity has flickered several times, and we may not even get this done!

It LOOKS nice out there... but it isn't!

Anyway, I was just reminded that there is a lot to be grateful for... even during these turbulent days in the world.

As a cat, I am grateful for my warm sleeping spots, my always refilled food dish and Hoomans who love me!

Proof-of-cat: Yes, this really IS my blog!

Not going to make this a long post, in case the electrics go out... but remember to be grateful for what you have!

And if you are a Hooman with a furry companion, thank you for giving them a warm and safe home!

Thanks for reading, and have a great week ahead!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!

Curator cat looks serious today. He must be thinking of what to post next on his blog.

I’m glad Spring is here as I worry about the animals left out in the cold. My last stray cat was timid and would not let me near it but would come by for food each day. She has been missing for a couple weeks now. It’s a vicious world out there with the animals hunting for food and shelter.

Thanks for listing all the cat communities on Hive.

It was a somewhat serious day... trying to decide where to go with the blog, aside from an occasional Caturday post.

We live "somewhat" in suburbia here, but not civilized enough that we don't have eagles, mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes and other predators who'd make a snack of a pampered housecat. I hope your stray cat friend shows up again!

Love the way the sun highlights your ears ... 😺

Thank you! We made a lot of attempts before getting that result!

Wow...that's a real photo where cat is looking at the computer?

Oh yes, that is an absolutely real photo... Shadow — aka "Curator Cat" — is very fond of the computer and often watches cat videos and follows the cursor across the screen.

Hi @cuddlekitten, always nice of you to stop by!
