Bite and Claw

Today is June 24th, exactly one month after I found my little friend among the cardboard boxes in the warehouse with their mother. They've grown so much since I first met them. One example is that they have started to be able to feed themselves. They have started to learn to eat the food I give to their mother. Sometimes they even snatch the food when the mother starts eating.

It's great to see them growing. But unfortunately not for one week ago. One of the kittens I named Momo fell ill. For some reason, every time he feeds with his mother, the milk he drinks vomits again and it makes his body weak. It made me confused and scared because he was getting thinner every day, until one day he didn't want to breastfeed anymore, and then he left for good. I feel so sad and guilty about it for not being able to save him. For now, there were only Leon and Daisy left.

Like usual days, they got up early before I got up and destroyed everything that could be reached in my room. They just play together all day and will suckle when the mother returns from her walks. For now, the mother often goes out and leaves them and then returns only to eat and sleep. Maybe because by now they were old enough to be left behind.

Because they are still children, playing is an activity they do every day. Apart from running around here and there, clawing and biting are the skills they currently have. Even when I was asleep they were still busy playing and disturbed my sleep because of the tiny claws hitting my skin. Their canines are also getting longer and hardened. It makes them more active in playing. Sometimes one of them would scream just because the other was biting too hard.

Not only playing with each other, sometimes they often tease their mother who is taking a nap. Biting the mother's ear and then running away as far as possible so as not to be caught by the mother. When they are caught by their mother, they will be beaten mercilessly. No, the mother is also just playing around to accompany the children.

They had learned a lot so far. And for the future, I will teach them to defecate in its place. Because right now they are always peeing in the corner of my room and I'm annoyed that I have to clean it every day. But that's okay because it's not the first time i've done this.

I'm so happy to see them playing happily, it's nice to see them grow. And I hope they will grow bigger in the future.
