I always considered dark matter and dark energy to be the same thing so it was very informative. I think the scope of thinking things as individual galaxies and whole universe to be the same thing. We just don't have the technology or enough knowledge about what happens so everything is still a mystery.
I do think I saw a few people mention about whether or not we could use one of them as a source of energy but it was just babble about possibilities. I think it may of come off a TV series or something like that so don't mind the weird theories.

I agree that everything will be a mystery unless we have the technology. Several theories attempt to explain the dark mater and energy, but so far everything are still a hypothesis.
