#MyCalifornia FISH PET STORE for #MarketFriday

My dentist in San Francisco had a large fish tank in the waiting room and smaller aquariums in the private cubicles. Then I recall my college friend's dentist also had an aquarium in the waiting room.

As it turns out that there is a scientific reason why they incorporate aquariums into the layout of dental offices.

Aquariums with their fish, coral, rocks and aquatic greenery, give off a calm and tranquil ambiance that provides a bit of stress and anxiety relief.

I've been a bit stressed and feeling pressure from work this week and I needed a break. So I thought: "Aquarium Therapy".

I don't have an aquarium at home, and the next best thing is the Fish Pet Store!

Look at these and tell me if it works for you too!

Some experts say that Aquarium therapy can lower a person’s blood pressure and heart rate.

I read somewhere that watching fish, and listening to the trickling water, causes the production of serotonin, which stimulates the brain to increase endorphins, which gives one positive feelings.

Honestly, watching fish in tanks is a good break from my iPhone, laptop, zoom meetings, the constant bombarding feeds from YT, IG, etc. and it helps me reconnect with nature. And I know that getting close to nature helps me feel more relaxed and improve my mood.

Ahhh... I feel better! Perhaps then later today, I will be able to respond to your comments on this the previous article [goodness, I am so behind!]

😍 #ilikeitalot!😍

And please do tell us in the comment section below what relaxes you!

I think that it may be because the graceful movements of the fish in the water is calming.. to both you and the kids. Imagine mermaids swimming in the tank! So beautiful and mythical, LOL!
I appreciate you stopping by and leaving the first comment on this article, my friend.
Have a great weekend ahead, @enginewitty, and take care 🥰🌺🤙

My kids had a big fish tank as part of their education and we had a bottom fish like the one above, Catfish like black with white spots call a Pleckosamus algae eater. Didn't realize how big he could grow and had a curious behavoir as he could rest on the bottom corner of the tank and stare at me for a long time and when I look back he'd shy off and hide in his tube home for a while and come back put when I'm not watching him, his name was Percy the Plek.
Who said fish don't have a personality?
Always, with Love and Mermaids .... 🌺 💝 🌹 💓 🌸 🌼

I think it's the usual, "Feed me." he was the biggest fish in the tank so I drop a few algae wafers in and happily sucks on them. He finds them no matter where I put them in the tank.

I am thinking of getting myself a tiny aquarium and out it in front of my kitchen sink... something to look at and talk to, LOL! Are your kids still interested in having an aquarium, or did they outgrow it? I was just wondering, cuz I never had an aquarium ever, and wonder how much work it entails. YOu know that I already have 3 Yorkies, LOL!
XOXO 🤗💕💋!

I have always had an aquarium until the last 10-ish years. I miss it. I had a 20 gallon one in Colorado that was stocked with Koi and special Goldfish. I actually named my fish and believe it or not, they would swim into my had when I put it in the aquarium and let me pet them! They were 4-6" long each and I had probably around 6-8 of them. I specifically remember Bruno, who was a large goldish-black goldfish. He was awesome!

Someday, I'll have another aquarium, but need to wait until the house is done and I find a kitty proof aquarium. Cot is a wily little kitty! Take care sis and thanks for sharing your tranquil time at the fish pet shop! Much love and hugs!🤗💕😉🌸

In Venice id where I saw a shop for fish pedicures, and you can see couples and tourists enjoying them. I am curious to try it, but I have heard of horrendous stories of infections that have occurred that are related to fish pedicures. 🤗💕😘

For his last Christmas before he died one of the kids bought Jim a small aquarium. It was the perfect gift. 3 years later the only fish left is an algae eater that has grown huge! I've been thinking that the time has come for a visit to the fish store!

What a great gift for Jim!
[I am sorry again, my dear @melinda010100.]
And you are the friend to have their fish pet algae eater grow huge, LOL!!! I think that it is a great idea to get new fish for Jim's aquarium. I, too, was thinking of getting me a tiny aquarium and thinking of putting it in front of my kitchen sink, and I can talk to them while I wash my pots and pans.
Have a lovely Saturday, and take care, my dear friend @melinda010100 🥰🌺🤙

Isn't it like watching a lovely ballet? The flow of them, relaxing and yet, full of movement. I had a beautiful fish aquarium at one time, but, let my brother adopt it when I moved to Europe. I love the sounds of the trickling water and new babies darting through the water before I can catch them and put them in the little incubator. How did I now know she was pregnant?

As usual, you have made this such a fun time, and I love your first shot, the fish swimming around on close circuit Computer here. Thank you dearly, you make #MarketFriday a joy to do. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I appreciate the love and support you are giving to #MarketFriday!Oh, I actually was going to ask you which is your favorite fish, and are you really going to get one for your kitchen area? What a great place to put one, right where I spend some quality time! Good luck with that and if you do, I hope you do a post on it! There are so many challenges here on Hive and it warms my heart to see that you chose to be a part of this one. It is people such as yourself that made it into such a successful challenge! Talking about ballet... there is a bar in Sacramento, California, called the Dive Bar... and they have mermaids swimming on top of a large aquarium above the bar.

I recently had an above ground pool installed in my small backyard (since I can't go to the club to lap swim every week now). The thing is I really can't lap swim the way I want to. However, I find that I am doing a lot of synchronized swimming, and I am once again experiencing the same enjoyment I had with the sport a long time ago.

I love the waters.. swimming on the water, the sounds underwater and the sound trickling water like you do (I know you have a fountain). I have this very little one on a side table by my entry door light switch that gives a very soothing tiny tones of trickling water:

I wish that I lived close to the beach! I purposely have not placed that in my list for fear that it is futile, and I think that is where I failed. So.... tonight, I am going to add that to my life's list of goals! 😊
Have a wonderful week ahead, my friend @bigsambucca, and take care 🥰🌺🤙

Aha!!! I should be buying lottery tickets? Hehehe, the only lottery tickets I buy are the tickets they sell in Church where one can win a car, LOL... and only because we are asked to help sell tickets... and I am not good doing stuff like that, so I end up buying the tickets that I'm supposed to sell.
YEAH!!!! Great idea! Sometimes, I ask myself why I have all this silver and gold saving when I have no one to leave it to! If the spot price of silver and gold continue to rise, who knows, right? It may be enough to pay for a small hut on a beach somewhere in Asia!
Have a lovely evening, my friend @bigsambucca, and take care 🥰🌺🤙.

See... that is where the challenge is... I don't want the place rented out.. and Asia is way too far from California, although it is very beautiful there! On my last trip to Asia, I actually spoke to a couple of realtors and explored the possibility. It is unbelievable inexpensive real estate is in Asia as compared to buying a property in the paradise island of America (Hawaii). But the advantage of Hawaii is is IS AMERICA... and not too far away from California, and I love Hawaii. My plans have been shelved since I had to postpone my scheduled trip to Hawaii this year. I was actually meeting up with a realtor there to look at a few properties there! I will revisit that plan when everything has gone back to normal.
Have a great week, my friend @bugsambucca, and take care 🥰🌺🤙
