Visiting The Flea Market In Osaka

Hello everyone,

I went to the flea market in Osaka. This time it was organized in the Namba area not far from my home. I got the details from the website. Actually, there used to be flea markets every weekend in Osaka. But since Covid-19 happened, all of them were canceled.

When I arrived, I saw there were not as many booths as I thought. The schedule said there would be 100 booths. It was very hot, about 37-38 degrees celsius, so some booths finished early because of the heat.

Looking at the booths, most of the products were used things but they were in good condition. And there were some new ones such as clothes, bags, and shoes.

I want to sell some stuff that I don't use. But I will wait until autumn because it is very hot now. Actually, I also sell some stuff that I don't use on an online marketplace. Getting a little money back is better than throwing things away.

I didn't walk around long because there wasn't really anything interesting.

Nice place along the canal (or river) with high buildings in the background! It's a good location for the market. It's unfortunate that there are only a few booths due to the heat. Nice photos!

It's great that you sell some stuff that you don't use on an online marketplace. I totally agree with you, "getting a little money back is better than throwing things away". I sell some of my books online, too. ;)

Yeah! I also think my books are more useful for those people who bought my books than leaving them on my bookshelves. Most of the books are still in good condition and I sold them at very low prices. ;)

I truly understand not wanting to go to the flea markets in the summer heat. I know I don't! I never throw anything out! If I cannot use it, I will usually donate it to one of the charitable organizations that will either sell it and give the money to the charity or disperse the goods to the needy.

I have sold some things, but, frequently don't have the time to put it online and then wait for the phone calls to buy it. But, the premise of making money on my not needed things sounds pretty awesome. :))

Do you live in Osaka or Thailand? Which one is your original home? :)) I want to thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday! Each week, I post for the challenge to provide a different look of American culture, some of it over the top and some, everyday things. Sometimes, I just show places that I have gone to, all having an entry fee to qualify it for the #MarketFriday tag! It is a challenge to find new things during the pandemic, but, we still have to live, so we have been able to pull it off. It shows off how much we are alike and how different life can be. In the end, it makes it an experience that I look forward to. I appreciate the love and support you give to #MarketFriday! It Is heartwarming to see how many posts into the challenge, including you. Thank you! Truly! Your participation adds a unique flavor to the mix. I just love clicking on the link and having a new world open up, right before my very eyes!
