Greetings from @a-lass-wonders!!

Hello, my beautiful ladies!

Hope you all are doing well and today I’m ready to share how I shopped today to buy goods for the home. I went to the supermarket after breakfast.

Following are some tips I used to follow when I shop at the supermarket.

1) Avoid peak times.

Usually, I’m going to the town by skipping peak times. I noted that going to the supermarket in the morning tends stress-free shopping time for me, coz supermarkets are not much crowded in the morning, unlike in the evening.

2) Have a rough note about what to buy.

Before leaving the home, I used to add a note on my phone about what to buy and the amounts of them. This will cause you not to buy things as you saw everywhere in the supermarket. Ergo, this tip will help to save your pocket. I used to buy only the things in my notepad and thus it always helps me not to buy unnecessary items.

3) Remove each item you load to the trolley from the notepad.

This will help to buy all the goods you wished to buy without skipping.

4) Do not retain much time at the supermarket.

Before you are entering into the supermarket you need to have a rough idea about the time period you hope to spend in the supermarket. Coz, retaining much time in there may lead you to buy things away from your notepad.

5) Buy more promotional goods.

Suppose that if you wish to buy one bottle of washing liquid. But, if they offer a promotional price to that item, considering the expiry date, I used to buy two or three from it. It may help to save your money.

6) Allocate some money for grocery shopping for the month.

Considering your count of family members and especially considering your monthly income, you need to allocate money for grocery shopping. Keep in mind that not to spend all your income on shopping.

By considering all the above, these are the goods I shopped for yesterday.

Great tips and advice. I need this. Ahahhahaah. I have a tendency of buying unecessary grocery items and ended up leaving it in the shelves for long

Hey! Great tips,I'd add, you should not go grocery shopping when hungry! Makes you buy unnecessary stuff and spend more money that what you had in budget!!

Because I don't like taking the phone out if I don't have to, I write my list on paper and cross it out as I go along. (so old school, but, I started during COVID!)

I don't go hungry! It is a hazard! I clip coupons! They are a money saver! You have great tips. Also, check out the price per oz or liter... many times I have found the smaller jars or cans cheaper. They are always trying to fool you which is cheaper. We are conditioned to think the bigger is cheaper.

Great post and great ideas! I didn't see this as it was posted on a Monday and it didn't pop out until this #MarketFriday. But, I caught it!

#MarketFriday has evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is normal for where you live? These are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I can only hope this to be true.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost?
  3. Post the picture(s) Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post #hive-196308 (this is not required, but appreciated)
    5. Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it
  5. Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
  6. Please only one post each week. Believe it not, I run out of voting power if you put in many more than that.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

Just so you know, I tried to change the vote and make it bigger on the post and it took it away but would not give it back as the post was too old. So I upvoted this post also. It was better $ anyway. :))

Sorry about that. But, it turned out better at the end of you.
