Today I’m procrastinating doing what I need to do. No shame in that one I suppose!

Space

One of the things my wife and I have been trying to do is get into some investments via real estate. We are trying to figure out mentally and physically where we want to spend our time and efforts. Do we want to go further north and go to Vermont? Do we want to move south and go to Florida, awesome governor by the way! Do we want to go south west and go to Texas? These are challenging things to try and figure out. One thing is for certain, we are looking at stuff! One of the things we know we want and actually made some attempts to get our hands on is some good old fashioned land.

Land is a great thing to have and especially if you can get it in a nice area while it’s lower on the tax scale or things. Florida has some really good land tax rates and we know we want to at least own something there so we looked around and found a really nice spot. Turns out people don’t want our money it seems. We got in touch with a realtor a few times about it and it’s been crickets since. With a dire economic situation you’d think people would be practically foaming at the mouth at the thought of selling something to keep the profits going. That’s also what has been challenging us, that experience put a damper on our drive to get out there and look for things.

We’ve also been looking at houses but that’s less of a goal for now, given some things being up in the air with family and stuff. It’s still good to keep an eye out to see if there’s one of those perfect opportunities you can snag. We saw one recently but it’s sort of near us, AKA, where we want to get the hell away from lol. We live in a good place and all but with the polarization and radicalization that’s been going on we want to get further away from the cities where so much of the crap happens. Leave us alone out in the woods and we’ll get along just fine with our neighbors! Just like so many people that want nothing to do with the fear and drama that goes in in the big urban areas.

I guess I should go back to the real estate websites and see if I can find something to look at..lol
